After looking around at some screenshots of some people's cities, I'm just amazed at the amount of AWESOME custom content there...I was wondering if there are any collections of organized and high quality BATS..

I've looked around, and it's a bit hard to find good BATs in thousands of pages...so are there any colections? Because in some people's screenshots of cities I see some really truly amazing stuff.

There is the STEX CD collection, actually there are two versions, you will have to donate some cash and you will get one. Or you can also spent some days, looking on the STEX.. When I say days I mean it.. lol.

Not having any experience w/ the CD i don't know how useful it is/isnt.

However i find that its easiest to decide what you need then try to find it.  Like my airports sucked to i looked up airport on the STEX and downloaded tons of stuff for my Airport.

A few good searches to do:

HK (brings up the crazy cool hong Kong buildings

Airport

RMIP (Runway markings improvment pack, good for airports)

Seaport

Harbor

CDK (coastal development kit, nice port lots)

HSRP (my favorite STEX item, changes monorail to high speed rail)

GLR (you can get some good stations for the GLR included with the NAM, you do have NAM right?)

Tower

Building

then click on "most popular," this will bring up the most downloaded lots on the STEX.

Those are my suggestions, this is just a start as you build you will find more things you want.

A big thing I'm looking for is textures, I've been looking around at people's regions and cities and see that the textures they have are excelent...the ground/mountains look alot more realistic than default maxis textures.

the best place to look actually is the STEX CD/DVD collections.

some stuff is on the disks that was never released to the general public also, some very high quality stuff.

Is he the only guy that does Terrain textures? I haven't found any good snowcapped mountain textures yet

Teirusu created a few terrain mods (also a snowcapped terrain mod, available at http://www.teirusu.com), but Cycledogg is indeed the master.

Just in case, someone is looking for a mega cool map search for NHP. Ohh and you will need the SC4terrainformer to make maps, and to use NHP guy's maps.
