issue I have is that it doesn't take 1/10th of a century for a building to go up, and that's what reality is going to be. You can try to excuse it as many ways as you want, but ultimately it is the government's involvement which is screwing everything up. If you were ontop of the facts you would know that.

clearly because I claim to be speaking for new yorkers I annoy you, but I am not making decisions for them, I read.  a lot.  I spend almost 90 minutes each day reading current events, and a good third of that is about new york.  I like informing myself, and as a result I feel I can make good judgements about overall sentiments.  im sorry that annoys you.

I necer said that that annoys me, Im saying that you are making it sound like your speaking for all of NYC.  Your Opinion is you opinion.  Your not understanding that this is my opinion and what I have to say.   I keep up with current events too, and I told you before, that that land is owned by the government of NY and NJ, DUH.  Not trying to be mean here.   And when the WTC was being planned and built for the first time, do you know how long that took to get started on construction................................. about 5-6 years, because people put a lot of thought into those buildings they had the same exact things going on then as they are today.   You give me one great reason of why the government is slowing down this project.  Because I dont see enough evidence for them too slow down the project.

And as I said before.  The Empire State Building went up in only a year because of the race to the tallest.  NYC isnt obligated to do that anymore, at least not just within city limits, and the Empire State Building was not planned to be the safest, the strongest, the most realiable, the most modern building in the world at the time.

But we need to get beck on topic before we get in trouble

you honestly do not know how the government's involvement has slowed the entire process down? I suggest going to do some research on it, I'm not doing it for you. You are only 13 and an american so you could be excused for thinking that.

i think what you are referring to is called red tape, a building like this

with so many strong emotions attached to it is bound to encounter

some hang ups.

ILL Tonkso said it well.  Remarks like that one are not tolerated here on ST.  If you can't say something without making attacks on someone like that, then you should stay out of the conversation.

As taken from the site rules.

2. Be polite. Please post civilly. Speak to others as you would if they were standing in front of you - the anonymity of the net is not an excuse for poor manners and jerk-like conduct.quote>

And although this isn't technically the chat room, this rule still applies.

11. Do not attack another person, their heritage, their religion, their ethnicity, their sex, or their homeland. There is no tolerance for prejudice. Don't say anything that would offend another person.quote>

Each building on it's own is really nice but they look really odd placed like that and in hight order too.

I agree. The spiral arrangement seems odd to me. For a city like New York, and especially with Lower Manhattan's European-style street layout, (resulting in many uniquely-shaped buildings, too) does anyone else think that perhaps a more random arrangement of the towers would've fit in better? I'll concede the possible point that the World Financial Center towers across West St. are arranged in height order, and thus set a precedent, but is it not strange to have two different complexes of buildings right next to each other, arranged the same way and in the same general direction (Tallest to shortest / North to South) ?
