Problem creating trees in god mode

Hi, I don't know if this is a bug or if i do something wrong... i can plant trees in god mode only over a certain height, or in little greish spots... i can't put trees in plains little above sea level! I saw some images showing palms and pines near sea, so there should be a way to create them... i'm tired of cities in a empty plain. Trying to solve this, i installed PEG pines mod, wich is supposed to plant oaks at lower levels, but doesn't. Anyone knows how i could fix this? maybe a missing file? Thanks.

Hi,

The trees may have been designed to be placed in Mayor mode. It will however cost money.

*sigh....doesn't answer his question. So let's try and help the guy.

Which version of Pegs Pines did you install, Mayor or God Mode?

make sure you do not have any other God Mode tree mod installed..if you require more expert help on Pegs, stuff, visit http://www.sc4pegasus.com

Thanks, but i think that i had not explained well my problem... I CAN plant trees in God Mode, with and without mods, but ONLY on high mountain, where the terrain is brown (without using mods)... Under a certain level, no tree are created. Insistead, in major mode i can plant any tree at any level, but they won't grow up...

    @ Tommo

It's not a bug, it's a game design, like in real life, as it goes up in elevation you get scrub brush type, and then nothing grows. The same on the low, and waterfront, you get oaks and like.

It is best to read instructions carefully. Including the ReadMe files (common name for files that should be read for optimum operation).

    2. Is it turned on
    3. Did you read the manual (readme)?

I think that the mod works, because i had this problem also with the just-installed game... I know that the game is designed to create different trees at different altitudes, but i get only pines on higher mountains... why i can't create oaks and other trees??? here's a screenshot: treesbg8.png I am creating trees but they spawn only over a certain altitude.

I installed PEG Pines for God mode... and i haven't installed any fog mod. Could be a problem that i installed also cycledogg's tree mod? This shouldn't have effects on God mode...

You can only have one God Mode tree Mod, as it replaces the ingame one...sounds like the conflict is in the lower elevation mods. Remove the Cycledogg mod and try again.

    OK...lets start from scratch...

First, make sure none of the tree mods are installed. Next, start a new region. Can you place trees in God mode at all altitudes?

If so, if so, exit the game and install Pegs Pine Mod for God Mode, making sure you use both LOWER and MID pines. Also, make sure you have Pegasus Mountain Theme Pak installed consisting of 2 files, PEG_MTP_RESOURCE_vol1.dat and PEG_MTP_TEXTURES_vol1.dat, both have modification dates of 29 October 2005...

Restart the game, open your new region and place trees at all elevations.

Let us know if that doesn't work.
