what is going on?

The CSX seawalls are really giving me heartburn.  I can't get them to lay down all at the same height.  Sometimes when I plop them they end up completely underwater.  Why isn't this working am I doing something wrong?

First of all the maximum picture size allowed here is 800x600 so please resize it and repost.
To place the CSX Seawalls you need to have your land at sea level. Make sure that you have no grid lines showing on the land where you want to plop them. Your land is just too high so level it to the sand colour with no grid lines.
And please resize your picture before a moderator deletes it.

1) try to keep images under 800x600.

2) I have the same problem. I don't know what causes it, but I have a few tips that seem to work for me:

a)if you can get one to go in without going underwater, demolish it and use single street tiles to level the area you are working in.

b)lay a road down right behind where the lots are going.

c)If it isn't working, leave it for later. Even if waiting doesn't somehow fix it, it will save you from ripping all your hair out.

Try terraforming to the same level by using individual bits of road.

Expensive option: place a harbour and demolish it. You will have the shore at the right level for those lots. Then you can level your shore line at this level using the single road/street tile technique mentioned by the other members.

I think that PEG - CDK leveller lots prevent this problem if you plop them all along your shoreline before you plop the seawalls.

thx for all the help guys, i got it working now, but it took me a while to fix.  Basically I randomly placed them all over, then when I got one that worked, I levelled all the other tiles to that height and it worked, but I had to place alot of road tiles.

Mmm, did you try placing a Maxis seaport as mentioned before ?
