I really like this! The downtown is not just a sea of skyscrapers, and actually fits the size of the region! The freeways fit in well with the burbs! Keep it up!

I really like your CJ and city. It's very creative. I've never thought of putting residential right in there with the agriculture. I'm going to try that.

Commercial area looks good.  Looks just like what one would look like in a city in the US of about 50,000.  Good work.

    Covington Valley Bulletin

    -Covington Valley latest news as of 8/31

    -Covington Valley thanks the tourists.

    -Downtown Covington Concept

    Latest News:

        New suburban village projects in Clayton will start as of 9/01. It is expected to reach the population of 30,000 middle class citizens. The green line will also start here. More news on the Light Rail project on Saturday.

        North Point University Belt and Downtown have grown alot. CCT Red Line is already running from the University Belt to Wildcat Stadium. There are only 2 stations as of now. More news on Saturday.

    Covington Valley Thanks you:

        Covington Valley thanks crazychickensc12, coyote_777, Menotyou, patfirefghtr, Cjah, jrhnemo, rooker1, aleking, Flumes, kimbrchick, Going2Chicago, jacqulina, owenluby, and Camedia for keep visiting Covington Valley. If you have any suggestions or ideas for Covington Valley, do tell.

    Downtown Covington Concept:

        Downtown Covington, will have "not to many tall" skyscrapers. It will be patterned to Austin or Portland's skyline. And the feel of the city will be like Atlanta and Anaheim. Downtown Covington will also be home to a Big League Baseball Team "Covington Planters". Covington is a Jazz city, like New Orleans, only the City is much modern. If you like Jazz music, don't hesitate to visit the Jazz restaurants around. Cheap drinks, food, service but definitely classy.

        Covington will also have great transportation. Freeways indeed, will encircle the Downtown Area. Light rail will cross downtown running NSWE. The CCT Rail will also run through the city coming from Pyles and other major cities. Few rail line ends in downtown. Covington Downtown project will start before the 1st week of september ends. Stay Tuned!

    From the Covington Times: 2nd issue of the Covington Valley Bulletin. Recently change its name from Covington Valley News;

    Hey there!

    I am absolutley loving your CJ... it's very similar to my old one...!

    I love your transportation ideas, maps etc...

    They are awesome!!!!

    I have a few suggestions:

    I think you would benifit from a terrain mod. Cycledogg has some great ones that would work in your city.

    I don't like that tram you are using... instead, i have one here that i like to use and i think will fit greatly in your city...

    https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?page=1&keyword=Portland&type=all

    It's the top one: Portland Street Car by screamingman12. See what you think.

    Also, this pics:

    claytonproposedfasiondistrictxc3.jpg

    I suggest you get rid of that ugly GLR track... and change it to the rural version. Just keep on pressing TAB to scroll through the puzzzle pieces to locate the rural version... Rural version puzzle pieces do not have that ugly white pedestrian mall attached to them... Use that only in very dense Downtown areas!

    Great work, i love your highway system! It's top notch... maybe lose a few of those highway noise barrier walls and add trees?

    Just my suggestions!

    Good luck,

    owenluby: great suggestions, I'll get rid of some highway barriers specially in Pyles, since its a rural city. As far as the Light Rail train goes, I don't really like those modern looking trains, and I don't like european trams. So I picked the Pittsburgh T-Trolley. The theme of the whole region is to be an American kind of thing. But yea, I'll change the GLR tracks to rural version. Thanks for that.

    I've tried cycledogg's terrain, and something bothers me when I use that. But thanks for the suggestions and comments. If you have any ideas for the real downtown (Downtown Covington) just shout it out. Thanks.

    jacqulina: Thanks

    bat: Thanks, more "Great Work" to come.

    Latest updates and photos will come later this week. Thank you all.

    Covington Valley have closed; Downtown Covington will never be seen; School Work and Work is the reason; Visit Covington Valley to see what I've started. But thank y'all for atleast trying to see Covington Valley grow. If I have enought free time, I'd continue this one. I really love the region and everything. I wouldn't delete the region from my hard drive just in case I could update it. Or maybe again for the 4th time, I'd start a new region after winter or next summer. But for all tourists, thank you for visiting, Terrorist just attacked Covington Valley. Pyles' Agriculture is destroyed, North Point University Belt is on serious fire, and Clayton's rich residents have moved to a better place.

    UPDATE:

    This will be the 2nd and Maybe the last of the Day, Since, I may not update this one for a couple of days. Thanks JaneJacobs for understanding. Anyway, I will make you hungry now. I won't be able to feed you babies for awhile.

    Here are some North Point Suburban Neighborhoods. This one is just .3 miles away from the stadium, and .5 miles away from the High Tech Industrial Site.

    @Day

    npointsuburbsday1vg7.jpg

    @Night

    npointsuburbsnight1qh2.jpg

    Now, This one is Northwest of the North Point University Belt (Downtown). Highway 27 is visible and heads west. To go to the University belt, the easiest way is to take the 27 East and connect to 1 South and Exit at Hall Ave. That is to avoid Traffic. But you could also take the side-street way just head west, that's it. (Just got Dramatic)

    npointsuburbsday2kn5.jpg

    Here, The Erving Golf Course: And they say, Lose some Weight!

    npointervinggolfcoursetz3.jpg

    More to come.
