Very big Wrapped Parcels

Hi again!

I dont know if this is the right forum to bring up this issue. I couldnt find anyone more
convenient than this for the moment.

The other day,  I installed something which should look like pools in a park with
a couple of palmtrees around.
It´s just that when I try to use it in the game, one very big wrapped parcel appears.
How come? Is that a kind of joke or does it indicate a wrong installation - to many
folders or files in wrong folder, or what?

I´ve got another thing which shows 3 very big W P:s. But I have forgotten what that
was from the beginning.

Kind Regards

    Hi Tungston!

If Im missing a prop or something the creator of those parks should have published that

in a or as a dependency

Any idea where I can find those threads?

Bring up the BAT file which you dowloaded it from and try reading the Readme.  You should ALWAYS do that before starting up the game with a new pluging addition.

There is also a possibility that you haven't downloaded the cities as props files (2) from the Lot Editor page at simcity.com.  You have to be product registered over there to get them.  Or you could look in the Mac users thread, I think(?).

    Hello N O Body!

    Thanks for your help.

There are 2 .datfiles I seem to not have which I now downloaded.

In what folder are those files supposed to be when downloaded?

    Thx again

Those are supposed to go in the normal old My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder.

And I believe the big brown box means you're missing things that are required for the lot. Try going back to the file on the STEX and looking at the description to see if there's any dependencies.

    Good luck!

hm... I can only repeat it: you're missing props. since you told about no mentioned props in the download file (maybe you should find the lot on the stex again, often the dependencies are only given in the lot-description) you might have to get the city props as needed for the lot editor from the sc4 homepage, since these props are the most important thing for use of custom content

If you are still having problems with this, get the SC4Tool and look at the lot's dependencies.  It should tell all.

When in doubt, check the Omnibus.  In this case, here.
