I would like to put the TransAmerica Pyramid in, but the city blocks in the financial district are either 3x3, 3x4, or 4x4.  If I do just The City on ALTX's modified region I'll be sure to include it.

You could try to edit the Transamerica pyrimid in BAT or make the lot smaller in lot editor

Here is alink to the complete Zoning Maps of San Francisco. It should help you if you have another go at this with the bigger region. It tells you Zone Type as well as density. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip, I used that quite a bit when I made this region, and use it much more if I redo it on ALTX's map.

<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/6.gif> Your region is so awesome!  I honestly do not know what to say except, Holy Cow!  Keep up the fantastic job!  What is the Population, btw?

1,746,826 total population in the region.  I tried playing this region for a few minutes this morning but it went to total crap ever since I reinstalled SC4 and didn't mod it up.  Oh well, it looks good in pictures still.

Your S.F. region is better than mine..... its a lot more realistic than mine, but i used the region that comes with the game, and my region has over two and a half millin, but i bet yours will catch up soon and pass mine.<ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/15.gif>

Holy moly! It's.... HOME! So accurate I could almost find my house in the Western Addition... Oh, Carlotta! That kicks Assasi. 2.gif You know I'm thinking about downloading it, but I have to ask myself, did you use six mods, or only five?

If I wanted to be nitpicky, I'd say that the Central Freeway ramps to Turk/Eddy were torn down before Pac Bell Park was built; having both is an anachronism. It should stop at Oak/Fell or Mission/Van Ness. But that's really, really petty, and I don't want to be nitpicky... but it looks like I did it anyway. Whack me with an It's-It bar.

Just for laughs, I've got to try putting the amusement park at the end of Fulton St. where Playland was, and the minor-league stadium at 16th/Potrero where Seals Stadium used to be...

Incredible job. You made my day. Have a bunny! 24.gif

Tell you the truth the only mods I installed were the 3x industry mod and the better traffic patterns mod (forget the exact name).  But I did edit building capacities, so after I reinstalled SC4 (and the .dat file) all the capacities went to normal and the city became very distressed the other morning.

Oh, and BTW Casper3141 I'm not adding anymore to this region so your population will stay above mine <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif>

It's a 3x3 china square that is found in the LEX.  This region isn't accurate scaled so there wasn't exactly the right amount of space.  When & if I do just San Francisco City I'll be sure to include all of these things, including the TransAmerica Pyramid.

eppis i think the reason y there are always more residents than there are jobs is that simcity counts residents in total not just ppl who have jobs. this means their kids, spuoses etc.

Man i think i'm going to cry it's so beautiful. I'd live there if it wasn't so damn expensive. I've seen the posts on Gothia but it wasn't as good as this one. Anyway, i highly encourage you to keep up the good work. Do you have a favorite district? If you do, send lots of pictures. Cause i wanna see!! 21.gif

Ohh the old days, MM2 on the zone. Crashing cars, flying freight trucks [remember that mod?], beetles everywhere.

I do have the Hunters Point barrio.  I'll repost the big picture on this page again.

It's too bad that I've changed so many lots that when I go back half of the crap doesn't appear.  For a more suburban city feel check out my San Diego v1.0  project, also modeled & based on the real life counterpart.

I like your solution for the Bay Bridge.  It might have to try that when I need to do one at an angle.

Wow!! what a city. So accurate and realistic. It looks exactly like San Francisco. Just add an earthquake or 2 and no one will ever know the difference between the real city and the sc4 one.
Great job!! You deserve many duckies 40.gif'40.gif'40.gif'40.gif'

I see now.  It does look like it could fit in better, but the lot size (7x7) is still a little too big for this version of SF.  In the next one, when the blocks are 8x8 & 6x6's... it will fit perfectly.

This has got to be one of the best realistic regions I've seen. With few exceptions all of the areas look proportionate, etc. 9.gif And, now, with the invention of the houseboats and pier lots, Sausalito, the China Basin area south of PacBell Park and Alameda (next to Oakland) could be made even more complete.
