Hi, im amazed of this community, is just great, is just what hv been loking for for years and even more.

I hv played simcity sincy sim city 2000 and i like it much more now.

but now im a bit confused with all the stuff i can add to the game so if someone can guide me it would be nice

this is what i hv added so far:

mods:

-networkaddon mod (NAM)

-CSX slope mod

lots:

-Diagonal dirty streets simplified

-Maxis plop flora

With all that installed i got 2 problems:

-I cant make diagonal streets

-sometimes by random, a huge brown box apears on the middle of a street, and i have to "reload" the street to eliminate it

Once i hv solved those problems i want to add some more stuff so plz can u tell me wich lots and mods are a must have? like adding a lot of nice features without crashing the game.

Hi there JareX and welcome to ST. I'm assuming you have either the Rush Hour or Deluxe editions, right? Without those the NAM doesn't work. The boxes mean you're missing a dependency. Did you go to the official site and get the updates? No one can say what are 'must haves' because we don't know what your playing style is. That being said, look for 'BSC' 'CSX' 'NDEX' also look through some of the CJs (City Journals) and look at the Omnibus to get you started. Good Luck! (If you need more help, look for 'Help Squad' members in peoples Sig's. and send a message to them, but it really would help if you could be more specific about what you need/want) Final thought, do your best to keep your plugins folder clean and tidy, that will help you a lot!

i think i updtted the game (put some UPDATE_SKU2_TO_P1_B638.EXE file) but the boxes are still there (i have sc4 deluxe)

Hi, Jarex, welcome to Simtropolis.

First of all, I received your first post as an e-mail because I monitor this thread.  Please tell us what changes you made to make the editor work.

Second, you make diagonal streets by laying them down one tile at a time on a diagonal bias.  They should self-join after two or three.

You may have missed a set of dependencies that are kind of default.  The are on the Lot Editor page at simcity.com called ...Buildings_as_props.dat and there are two of them.  Try downloading these.

As N_O_Body says, to make diagonal streets you have to create a zig-zig with them then they will turn into a diagonal. However, after that to make it longer you have to put the pieces down one by one, you cannot drag. I hope that's clear.

Zelgadis has a direct link to these files...see the "Get your Maxis Files" thread in the Mac users forum....the files are cross platform and work on both operating systems. It's much quicker than going to EA official site.
