Problem with "New Timesquare"

i downloaded the lot "new timesquare" by straithottie20 and i put the files into the plugins folder but when i build it in game only the foundations appear. <br /><br />I have downloaded lots of buildings and they all work but newtimesquare and a few others arent working. anyone know what im doing wrong?

these are very old lot files, so I suspect you are missing the buildings as props vol 1 & 2 from the official website, see my "up and running" thread in my sig for links to these files (you have to be product registered and simcity.com to download these from there) or you might take a look in the mac forum

this has happened to me with that academy awards building, I've never gotten it to work and just gave up on it.

actually apparently I think it was princeofsims said that EA says that anyone can distribute the bldgprop and BAT tool files if they want and it wouldn't be illegal.

The problem with these old lots is that they were made with the various props files made by ralphaelninja before Maxis produced the two buildings as props files. Ralphaelninja's files were withdrawn but the original lot makers never updated their lots so the building props do not appear. The solution is to open the lots in LE after identifying the buildings used - use SC4Tool database for this - and to replace the original props with the correct ones. Alternatively you could try asking the lot makers to update if they are still around.
