Hi,

i have created a new region, an island one. SC4 had created it nicely..but as I used a water region type..almost the island is covered by water...I have seen in the config.ini the variables Max Water and Min water with 60 and 110 values respectively...I have changed it to 1 and 4 and SC4 changes it again to default....so my island is covered by water. The height image has black as sea level..Can I modify the default level of water in the region?..How can I do that?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Izzat

You can raise the sea level by making it grey rather than black....70% black is a good level

    Hi Callagrafx,

Thanks for your answer...you are telling me to move the histogram of the image?...That could work..but..SC4 has not anyway to control the variables Water Min and Water Max?...if they are written in the config.ini...it should be...isn,t it?

Thanks again,

Izzat

there's no way to control the min/max water without modding game files using ILive's Reader. download it from the Modds & Downloads section, and do a search on the forums for your problem. encountered and solved multiple times.

    Hi Prince_of_sims,

As you can see in the attached images..the problem is that the region is nice..but when I enter in a city..the water level raises..why does this happens? Is anyway to avoid it?.

The terrain was created with SC4 and modified with SC4Terraformer v.0.9c

Thanks in advance,

Izzat

You tried raising the terrain up evenly on the god tool bar?

you have a terrain mod installed. i can see that you've used SC4Terraformer on your region. did you set the water level at the right level before terraforming in SC4TF? what i would suggest to figure out if this is a mod problem, take everything out of your plugins folder and load the game. then load the city and see if it works. if all else fails, you can use SC4TF's Global Terrain raiser to raise the terrain globally.

I put the water level to 100 (the same which appeared in the config.ini,..and I have already raised the terrain with that¡¡¡ but..appears nicely in the region view...but after that, in the city...goes down again?.

Ok..I will try that

Thanks....by the way this is the Canary Island of "Gran Canaria".

Regards,

Izzat

the default water level in the game is 250. ignore the config.ini, the game doesn't read any settings from there. i'm pretty sure it only checks the Region Name value against the folder name to verify that the region is a valid one.
