Plugins causing game crash

I was adding a park to one of my cities using Barbyw's and Simgoober's parks.  I also used the Pegasus Pond Kit and Ponk Kit Transparent Pach.  I saved the game.  Afterwards, the game crashed back to the desktop. It really didn't crash until I tried to put in the regular grass lots.  Now everytime I try to load that city, the game crashes back to the desktop.  My question is: Is there anyway that I can delete certain plugins and kickstart the game so I can get into the city and fix things.  Or do I have no other choice than to delete the city and start over from scratch (I DO NOT want to do this!)

Try constantina's solution.  If there is still a problem, try moving the city to a sandbox and see if it will run there.  If so, fix it and move it back.

    Constantina :

It won't even let me back into the city.  As soon as the city loads and pops up, it crashes to the desktop before I can even get to the bulldozer icon.

Exacutully.  I think constantina was suggesting deleting the plugin.

Yeah, i tried. I couldn't find the standalone plugin for just grass lots so I assumed it came with the parks folder that I had downloaded so I took that one out of my plugin folder and moved it to my desktop just to see whether it would work or not. As a matter of fact, I also took the last few plugins that I had downloaded out of my folder in hopes that it would rectify the situation, but, unfortunately, it didn't.

I believe SC4 will crash both if a city has items which demand a plugin that isn't there AND if you have a bad plugin (and even if you have 2 plugins that conflict.. Afraid you're in for a bit of sorting.. And I don't think when it crashes it gives any message anywhere as to what caused the crash.. Try retracing your stuff in baby steps.. I'd say you're past the guess it and slap it stage and will have to invest some serious, organized time.

So right, SC4BOY.  And the lesson learned is don't, ever, download anything without testing it separately.  One at a time, full bore testing in a sandbox.

It is a sad lesson, especially if you are attached to that city.  You'll probably have to find it with windows explorer and delete it.  Did you have a (ha?) backup?

Unfortunately, I didn't.  Guess I'm pretty much screwed, huh?
