You need to review the download page on the STEX and any readme files that came with the packages.  You are responsible for downloading noted dependencies at the time you download any lot.

you moved this in the middle of my post NOB, lol, anyway,... you are missing files from the zip, I am very familiar with kevdan25's work, the way he did the earlier zips was to put the model and dat files in the root of the zip, then subfolders for plop and grow, so you need to double check and make sure when you moved the files to plugins you moved the model and dat files too

No dependencies were noted, and the readme files only talked aboutthe history of the company.

It appears that you are missing ALL but the lot file. Please do as greyveil suggested and check that you have all the model files in particular. I suggest you re download the zips and make sure you install ALL files except the Readme.
