Modds and BATs

I had almost 500 BATs in my plug-in folder, but there was alot of crap.  So I deleted everything, and I am starting over.  What BATs and Modds do you all recommend?  So far the modds I have downloaded are the Network Addon and Cycledoggs terrian and snowcapped modds.  I haven't gotten any BATs.  I'm looking for suggestions!

go for landmark buildings you'll be able to tell apart from your furthest zoom or buildings that give you lots of industrial I$$ and I$$$ jobs / CS$ and CS$$ jobs.

I also have to reccomend the WTC pack (is it a pack now?), I believe it should be in every region with a sizeable downtown as a personal tribute to those who lost their lives on 9/11. Your call though.

Thats a tough question which is almost impossible to asnwer. There are almost 10,000 items on the STEX in every shape and size imaginable. What I would suggest to you is to think about how you like your city(s) to look. Think about a certain theme for example. Themes could be: Rural, High-rises, suburbs, European, American. Then visit the STEX and keep searching till you found the items you like best or fit best in your theme.

A second option is to start with a creator you like best ... the "style" or "architecture" of the BATs for instance and get the items made by this creator.

Every player has his or her's own "taste" and the only way to discover yours is to start searching. Also don't forget to test downloads first and use some decent form of organisation in your plugins folder. That will save a lot of headaches later.

If you have the NAM and you intend to use the GLR, you should find and download whatever GLR stations you like.  The NAM doesn't have any lots with it.

You may also want to download one of the skins for the elevated/glr trams so that instead of trains you get street cars.

also look into some BSC works, there are alot of interesting BATs there. or pegasus, and simgoober, etc.
