I think I have a problem with the orginal simcity parks.  For example:  For the medium plaza thingy, only the concreate shows up.  For the playground, only the grass shows up.  What's wrong?  I only downloaded some stuff from simtropolis.

Thanks.

First, check your graphics game settings.  They should be at medium or high.  It sounds like you have done an update from the home site and not reset.  the home site always resets you to minimum settings.

I am having trouble with the parks/gardens that came with the game originally. The gardens don't show the box around it, no trees for the medium park, playground has no monkeybars anymore just grass, but it seems to only have affected the original stuff. I checked my game settings and they are ok. I've been playing for quite awhile and downloading some stuff off the stex. I deleted the last few things I downloaded from the stex (when I noticed the trouble) but that didn't seem to help - any ideas?

Welcome, Mybrunswick! First, check your graphics settings as prince of sims describes above. If they're ok, you may just have to bulldoze them and re-plop them. I've had the same problem occasionally, and that was the only solution. I'd get the problem with parks, country club, university and cemetery. I tried a few things and even posted on it. Bulldozing was the only solution, sadly. Everything was fine after that, though. Good luck.
