Hi, i looked everywhere in the forum and got no aswer,

I just installed a new ram stick (a 1000mb with still the two previous 256mb) and reinstalled windows xp sp1and sim city rh with latest update from ea games web site,

Every single zone i draw (no matter how big or if it's RCI or low, meium, dense) have a no road connection. Previously (before the new ram stick)  it was popping up for no reason and disappearing but now the NRZ stay for years and years and never disappear.

I removed Nam but still have the problem... I have no other plug-in or mod

Amd 2500+ (suppose to be 2.5 ghz but windows recongnize it as 1.83)

1,46 gb of ram

Nvidia Ge force 4 (integrated)(64mb)

Abit NF7-M

hard drive 120gb

virtual memory 2046-4092mb

do you actually have roads? are you zones connected to each other with any type of transport? homes-work-shopping etc?

btw, a picture can tell more than a 1000 words

ok, there may be road, but in SimCity 4, the road has to be actually touching the arrows. look closely at a zoned area and there should be arrows. the arrows need to touch zones otherwise you'll get NRZs. im sorry if it seems im treating you like a novice, but many seasoned players of earlier versions don't seem to know this fact.

another reason for NRZs is jobs. each wealth of sims can only work in jobs of that wealth. for example, R$ sims can only work CS$ CO$ and I$ jobs. make sure you've provided enough jobs for the sims.

whoops, i just noticed something. you have two 128MB sticks and one 1GB stick for RAM, right? try running with just the 1GB chip. having different amounts of RAM might be causing this, i'm not exactly sure. adding a video card will help with graphical performance, but most likely not with the NRZs.

Bambii:  I can assure you none of your hardware is causing the problem.  I suggest a clean install, by that I mean after the uninstall, delete all the folders under Maxis that have to do with SC4.  Some file was corrupted during the install, or update.  Make sure the update from simcity.com is for your region.

EDIT:  while you are at it, before you reinstall SC4, go ahead with the SP2 for XP, regardless of what you may have heard, it will not mess up your computer.  It will make things better, as it has essential upgrades.
