A mod? I doubt it. Sounds like you want a fixed or patched driver for your video card.

no I need a mod because it's not supported on this game (it's not on videocards.sbx) it's a game with newest update two years ago while this chip model is only 9 months old.

EDIT:I am using the NVIDIA forceware release 91.31

Still the gfx card should be downward compatible. I mean, there are tons of games that are much older and can be run on the most recent gfx cards without any problems.

The problem in your case is that nVidia and ATi always battle for the last fps in your most recent brainless ego shooter and neglect proper programming of their drivers on the other hand.

You will have to try older driver versions until you find one that works. The fault is not with SC4, and even if it were, there is zero hope that there will ever be another update.

Another compromise that sometimes works is to change the gfx settings in SC4 from "hardware" to "software".

yeah but even software mode produces the same buginess and sice my chip is newer than the release of a driver that would support sc4 i am doomed with out some modder who knows how to do this.

i think it might be possible if we can trick it in to thinking i am running a GeFORCE 4 ti4600 because that is the most powerful card supported.

i also know it's the video card because it an just fine on my old one which i sold (it was ati radeon 9600 xt)

turn off all advanced features on the gfx card. if there is no option to turn them off, put them on applicated select.

I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 with no problems. What kind of bugs are you having?

And this is why i ALLWAYS recomend people to buy ATI-cards, since they seem to be supported allways, by ATI, since its ati adding compability, not EA Studios(Who neglect anything thats stopped bringing them loads of money...).

Anyway, to fix it you will probably need to go back and install a driver from about 2-3 years ago, that should fix the problem. Thats a last resort though, check the Nvidia Control Panel(I guess nvidia also has one).

the property "Alternative Pixel Centre" seems to cause graphical glitches in Sc4, but try turning them off one by one and se what ones work and which dont.

It is pretty clear that a "mod" would involve the in-game code for DirectX.  We do not have access to the source of the game.  The mods done here have only to do with changing the tables that drive the game's GUI and other models.  We have no way to affect the actual code.  What you are asking for is a patch or modification of the binary code, which we have agreed to not do.

I think the ground has been covered so I am closing this thread.
