Screen problem

I've got a new laptop, the thing is, although it plays way faster, the buildings on it appear fatter, and the graphics dont look as sharp, the resolution of my laptop is 1280 by 800, what should i do to make the game look how it should? I've tried changing the resolution on the game but it seems to look the same... help moi, thanks

The game was built before wide screen monitors.  There is no provision for them.  Some members have found a solution, but I don't remember where this is.  I will PM greyveil to have a look at this for you.

there's a way to make the game load custom resolutions. it involves editing the shortcut, just like you would if you were adding the -nointro option. i dont remember what the switches were though.

thats odd. my laptop has a widescreen monitor and the resolution is 1440*900. When I play the game i just get black bars on the sides and no stretching. I guess it depends on your gfx card maybe?

you have 2 options here, you can either run the game in windowed mode, (that will let you run with a regular res within a window) or you can play with the hardware graphics command line and try to find a res that closely matches your screen (in depends of your graphics card)

    In the short cut after the last quote mark add a space and -w.
