You are doing nothing wrong. When you first enact it it gives you 5,000,00 and the 100,000 every month after that. When you shut it off it gives you another 5,000,000 and the nothing. So if you want a lot of money, set it on cheetah and turn it on, wait a couple of months and turn it off. Wait a cople of months and rinse and repeat.

This happens for a reason and is because of the game itself and the way it handles the files. The modd itself works just fine. What you need to do is use a city tile/map that has never ever been used before, at all. Either that, or, Obliterate the city using the Obliterate function/tool (obliterate it, even if it is already blank). If done properly, when you start that new city you will start with the amount of the Simoleon modd.

marlin32,

What this person has asked has nothing to do whatsoever with any money making lots on the exchange. They're actually refering to a modd, hence the name of the threads' title23.gif

It's an Industry Quadrupler, actually. It replaces my older mod, which WAS an Industry Tripler. And the Modd Squad didn't make it, I did. Last time I checked I wasn't a Modd Squad Member. =) Unless they've made me a member without telling me, it's not an official Modd Squad Product. *L*

Well, there is a little quirk with it because of how the game handles the files. Just make sure you're only putting one of the Simoleon modds in the Plugins folder, and if you still have trouble with it, just Obliterate the city (even if it is already blank, and even if it has already been deleted) and then just start the city from there, it should work just fine.

I had actually taken quite a long good look at the dat file for this particular item, and the modd adjusts the proper item, it's just how the game decides to treat the files (in general) that will sometimes cause problems like this that you describe.

I just tried this mod, and it did not work for me, probably something I'm doing wrong. I tried it with the mod installed two different ways, one in the My Documents Plug Ins folder, and once in the Program Files Plug Ins folder just because I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong. I only had one of the mods installed in both cases, and I tried obliterating the city (which was blank) and still I have the game's standard 500,000 simoleons. Is there another way to obliterate the city? I used the one under god mode tools. Or is there something else I may be doing wrong?

Thanks for any ideas!
