So I don't know...I downloaded this region image from the STEX. It's the Seattle one. It was originally 1281px by 1281px. I started up photoshop and resized the image because when I went to put it in SimCity, it gave me a warning telling me the image was too big. Now it's resized, and I go to import the image...And nothing happens. I click on the image, I hit okay, the blue box dissapears...Then nothing. There is no indication that it's being rendered, no indication that I've done something wrong...No changes to the region. What exactly is happening here?

take a look at thoses threads

    and

Rendering Problem: Region Generation Error Message

and you don't have to resize the image, you just have to put the associated config.bmp in the region folder

I think your problem is that it is not anymore a greyscale image

    Hope it helps

If you resize an image, you have to be careful that it is still lin the allowed pattern, still grey scale and you have to modify the config.bmp accordingly.  Why did you change it?

I wasn't even aware of the config.bmp. I fixed it up, and it all works out now. No worries. Thanks for the help guys.

Cool. Now, if you have not, I suggest you spend a little time in the Omnibus. It can be a great learning experience.
