changing ground texture

...but I've never used it, and I don't know how it looks.

A few terrain changing files can be found here. Place one in your plugins folder and the ground terrain should change. I don't recommend installing more than one as this might cause conflicts which might cause the game to crash.

search the STEX for "Cycledogg". he's made some really great terrain mods.

Do you mean to change just the grassy texture or the entire terrain texturing itself? If you do, then there are many textures available on the STEX, the best ones I'd have to say are from Cycledogg. I use his Missouri Breaks Terrain Mod in my cities. That one can be found here.

I think he's referring to the flatland grass, rather than the cliffside/rock mod stuff.
