Hi, this is my first attempt with B.A.T., it's very easy just to learn the basic of this tool.

It's a "little"  desolated  (exist in english?) place like some suburban  zone here in Italy.

Two shots, one in rendering and other in game to test results

Comment and suggestion are welcome. Thank

thank tcxalapa, absolutely. I used basic texture for roof, walls, windows and door. Next work i try to use spline not box to give depth to elements like windows and doors. This can be considerated an exercise to take confidence with BAT, Plugin manager and LOT editor.

    Thank again.

It's a very good start, but I agree with tcxalapa, the texture is kinda plain. But keep working on it, it looks great so far 4.gif

Wow, now this is a promising start! 4.gif

My biggest concern about this building is scale: When compared to the Maxis buildings around it, it looks much too small. At 10 storeys, it should be approx. twice as tall as the brownish mid-rise building in the background of your screenshot. The BAT has a tendency to squash buildings a little; this can be compensating by exaggerating heights. I don't BAT myself, but if I remember correctly, you can multiply all heights by 1.3 or something like that, and the game perspective will make it look ok.

    T Wrecks, thank.

Exactly this is the problem which i report looking the building in game. Building scale. I'll try with your suggestion to multiply heights for 1.3. Maybe on forum there is the answer, now i search for it but language is a problem...to read (and understand) 1 pages i keep almost 20 minutes...9.gif

    So, one step at time.

Kippis05: thank for comment and encouragement.

Typically my floor hieght is usually 3.75m to 4m. Big Shop windows tend to be 5 or up to 7 if it is like a galleria. You've got all the responses on what to improve on the building so I wont repeat anything here. Good start!

    I love coffee and buildings.

Bixel, with your answer you confirm height which i used to update my building. Thank a lot.

Well my old height between floors was 3 meter, now it's 4. With T Wrecks suggestion to multiply height for 1.3 result is 3.9. I arrange it to 4 meter like the right height by Bixel.

Now building is breathable (hope you understand my neologism...9.gif) and textures work better too.

I learned so much with yours comments and suggestion in few time, this forum is great. If only i could write a decent english 9.gif

I will have several other questions...

    Looks nice!1.gif

We've here a lack of those buildings, and you could make many more of this kind.

     Keep up your work!

Wow, what a nice BAT brenz! It is very contemporary and european looking. I don't prefer that particular texture that was used but it would fit in nicely in a middle density, residential/commerical area. I'm sure it will be a great addition to the STEX. Keep up your great work, I really like that building and I can't wait for it to be in my plugins folder, lol

    Good luck 4.gif

    Thanks for positive comment.10.gif

Jerebannus, my building in STEX? It's a joke? 9.gif

Maybe in future with other building, not this.

Now i have a "capriccio" (freak, whim, i'm not shure for traslation), try to work at Olympic Winter Plan of Torino 2006 (Turin is my city). Olympic Stadium, Olympic Village etc.

I 'm collecting material in purpose and i'll open a new thread.

It will be very difficoult, but i'll try...life wants always a goal for us.

I understand your "capriccio" - I don't speak Italian, but in Spanish it's "capricho" and means exactly the same.

Back to your house: I think this could be more useful than sports facilities because medium-sized houses are not that frequent so far.

The latest picture looks nice, I like the windows very much. However, you should add something on the roof. Just a plain roof with some vents on it tends to look boring and unrealistic. There should be some access to the roof - maybe you could try to BAT something like 6459978 on the roof of his "Crumby Arms" (search STEX). Some mobile communication antennas would look cool and realistic as well.

    Keep up the good work!

    Yes, i agree.

Great work "Crumby Arms", i'll try to improve something of similar like an "end box" of elevator (sorry i don't know the right word for it) and some vent on roof. Also same satellite antenna can be an idea.

Looking "Crumby Arms" i also understand walls textures importance.

Fred_Ginger: thank to you for support.
