SC4 Deluxe won't install

I played SC4 for some time and everything was going well. Sometimes my game won't start up but I figured out reinstalling it would solve the problem.
Now, I come across the strtup problem for te 3rd time and so I tried to reinstall it. To my horror, I could not install it after I uninstall SC4 Deluxe. 
I've got all sorts of Mods and Downloads from the STEX but it was alright before. What in the world is happening?

we need more info as to what exactly you are having a problem with, do you get an error message?

No I don't get any error messages. The installation menu doesn't come up even if I double click AutoRun.

this could be any number of machine, cd, or software or permissions issues I suggest following this post at support.ea.com failing that, I recommend contacting a local computer tech

Try getting rid of everything in your temp folder. If you have XP, it is in c:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp. You may encounter some files that won't delete because they are locked. So sometimes it is easier to clear out Temp immediately after a fresh reboot.

Installers can put stuff in Temp, and I've run into situations many times where traces of previous installations confuse the new installation.

Also, make sure you're logged in as the administrator under Windows XP or 2000.

well, just go and find SETUP.EXE on the cd... and doubleclick that!
