Actually you can't affect nightlights with the LE unless you are defining the building as a prop and forget to set nightlights to 'true'. If you define it as a landmark, slap it on a landmark lot, plop it in game, power and water it, switch back and forth between day and night a few times and/or wait for a few game months for the light to show up and it still doesn't work, you can be 100% sure that whatever happened did so somewhere between 3DSMAX and the rendered & exported .sc4model file, not at LE stage.

I know that props had that problem, that's why I've asked, cause some people were making buildings into a prop.

I rendered several things (wouldn't call them buildings) with all three renders Scanline, MentalRay and Vray and lights (nitelites) work in all cases...

What are those lights?? VRayLights or Max's own lights?

I don't think it is in the loting stage though, It still may be something on the level of Plugin Manager,

In Lot Editor there is only one problem i'm aware of - lights may not work if you placing your model (I myself had experienced that only with props) to close to the edge, but in your case that doesn't seem to be the case...

Just make a simple cube and try it to see if that would work...

It would be a shame if such a beautiful building wouldn't have night lighting...

EDIT: page flip thingie again...

i guess you guys did not read it the first time so i will say it again. forget the school and BATforMAX.

i made a building in BAT with nitelites and surrounded the box with the lights. they rendered. i saw them as the render went on. i opened the building in the in the plugin mangr and made it a landmark. opened the building in lot editor and saved it out. built it ingame and still no lites on even a BAT model... thats why i think something i am doing is wronge

alright... im back and i just need some minor changes

    east.jpgnorth.jpgsouth.jpg

    west.jpg

i changed the plugin properties in the plugin manger and LEprop to say boarding school and changed the discription as well.

All the School settings worked fine but the Costum plop will not go away

    stillacustomPlop.jpg

also i need someone to look at this in a version of SC4 with the nitelite fix. as i am using a noCD the fix does not work. though i just got a new copy that should be at my door step in 5 days.

Nicely done. The shapes and geometry of this one is quite good. The attention to detail in the lot editor also shows and really adds to the overall effect. The only thing that I don't like is that the windows are so dark, but that's fairly minor. I'll definitely be downloading this when you release it.

I think if you use LE prop (in the modding section under ilive's tool) then you can edit the name and properties of civic buildings a hell of a lot easier (if that's not what your using already)

This building is looking great. I really like the lot too, it does give the building justice. The only suggestion I would give would be to get rid of the fog effect on top of the building. I don't think its really nessisary and takes away from the beautiful bat.

    Goodluck! Choco.

    oh yeah!!!

    now it is properly scaled!!

in Plugin Manager there is separate field for the name as default it says Custom Plopable, just look it up... I don't have it on my laptop so i can not give more precise description at the moment...

Oh!! i'm sooo eager to see night view of it!! BTW what is your sun's position... shadows from BAT itself aren't quite same as shodows created by the game...
