Hey I like the design, I also hope to see it in STEX soon. Your city looks awesome. Dying to see what Las Venturas will look like.

panthersimcity4: SGM means Simtropolis Goldwyn Mayer.

suplado!: She's almost ready for upload... just a few more alterations and she'll be set.

anarchy0029: Wait for the update... And it is Las Ventura btw.

Update 82 - Las Ventura; Giving birth to a legacy

    nealos101cjsanportellousb5.jpg

A city on the brink of self-destruction.  Industry was leaving like a star-crushed carnival, and any kinds of business were preparing themselves for a devastating market crash known only as the Shingdu Crash that took the entire reigon except for Santa Neyorka.  This update tells the story of how Ventura survived the bring of it, but took the brunk of it and fell apart into pieces, only to bring about the brightest future set for any city in the reigon; to become the richest and most famous in the known Simworld!

1 year before the big hit; the world was gripping itself for something big and an aerial photo (like the one shown above), was taken of Las Ventura in her younger prime: A city that had strict rules on gambling, a city with a future for stardom in the development sence, for in the streets of Las Ventura, commercial business was booming regardless of the warnings and hints of the impeeding market crash.  The town would fall into recission, destoy itself so literally all forms of freedom and justice that the townsfolk had stood for would be washed away in the blink of an eye.

    nealos101cjsanportelloudl3.jpg

Towers filled the skylines, each and every parkway that ran through the city would be streamlined with rise fame and glory; towers made to stand a lifetime, and not a few short and puny years.  But it came all the same; a shockwave of depression and despair.  All whom couldn't hold on to thier money lost it, and all whom were poor and desperate became worse off and in severe need of help.

In the beginning, Las Ventura had took a severe beating at the expence of a few small business across the board, closing up shop just to keep the cash for survival of thier employees and managers.  The big businesses fought had to control the loosing battles; in order to keep revenue they would buy and sell unwanted real estate to developers yet to be taken down by the crash.  Yet the towers continued to shine high in the sky; not one fell apart or was diapilated, not one lost its menacing power.

That was until one business in particular, the Venturas Group tower overlooking the Church on the East Ventura Strip, suffered a severe and crushing defeat in terms of succeeding the battle of bancruptcy.  The Venturas group was central point in the business of the City State; and the other businesses knew it regardless if they were overseas corporations.  The Venturas group was holding the lifeline of the town, and just five months into the crash, the lifeline snapped in a few breif seconds of mistake.

    nealos101cjsanportellouun1.jpg

Like the flood that had promised to follow, Las Ventura's personal economic market failed and failed miserably.  The Venturas group had a way with her customers and her way of commercial thinking; the Venturas Group owned a lot of the retail real estate, kept the areas clean & tidy, and worked with the police department to ensure safety and freedom of her corporative customers & consumers was keenly looked after.  As you can guess, like a pack of unstable cards standing 10ft high, they all collapsed atop of each other.

crazyyaya: Surprised I didn't spread it out more? In way way do you mean, in more than one update? It may have been wise but I owed San Portello that much anyway... Thanks for commenting!

patfirefghtr: Always a welcoming sight to see you here! Thanks for posting!

suplado!: Once I BAT enough casinos hopefully it will look beautiful... San Portello is all about overviews!

No update yet, concentration must now be spent on getting some casinos done or expanding out to another city, but I apologise in advance.

    Neal.

Dude, this is awesome! I love what you've done with it, and you've done some excellent work with the BAT!

    On another note:

    1) I, at least, would prefer if you made some new casinos, rather than updating the ones you already have (especially when the ones you have up are fine the way they are)

    2) When you're doing Ventura, don't forget a mockup of Fremont Street.

    Other than that, cool.

anarchy0029: There will always be hiatus and on & off experiences but one thing is for certain; San Portello shall never die.

Dsrwhat316: Upon my eventual return I intend to finish the one I'm working on now and get on with PixyDust.  Not too sure what I can and cannot do time-wise.

suplado: Thanks for posting, it is always appreciated.

jacqulina: Thankyou, me too as it happens and always lovely to see you around.

silvermac: I'm glad it is, I always intend to return no matter what happens.

    MajMayhem: Thanks, and in answer:

    1) That is definetly a point worth considering, however, I personally was not happy with the way the ones were that actually got me into this business, so I thought it was best to at least have some form of proper release rather than ones where I just got tired and fed up with and literally slapped on to the exchange.  I am taking my time with these and with time it becomes clear that they are far more wonderous and imaginitive than the orginals.

Expect a new one though after Neyorka Volume 2 is finished; Pixydust, in loving memory of Stardust.

    2) Fermont Street - I'll have a look into that.

PhilsCafe: Thankyou! It is but always dissapears what with my hiatus and such, but a return is always guarenteed until I die.  Thanks for being around and returning when you can!

I'm reworking my plugins and files at the moment, but this is a notification of my return, and I aim to continue work on San Portello, the reigon that started it all for me.

    Until I reply with shots,

    Neal.
