Do you have over 1gigabyte of downloaded plugins? i have 1.5GB worth of plugins in my folder, so it crashes just as you have stated.

There's only one way that you can stop the game from crashing while saving, that is to organize your plugins folder. Put all the unwated Lots in a folder and trasfer them to another folder. Only put them back when you need them.

As for me, i'm halfway through with organizing my folder.

-Good luck! =)

I don't think he has 1 GIG of plugins. He just registered a few weeks ago. It must be a faulty BAT.

Pause the game before saving. Try to save on zoom 3 or 4, which is easier for the computer to process. Even so, this still happens to me regularly and sometimes results in a corrupt save file. Also - very important - keep backups of your past saves so that, if you do get a corrupt save file, you can just paste the backup into your region folder and overwrite the corrupt one.

like pnorrell said, pause the game. But try centering the screen out into an ocean or forest where there are hardly any custom items shown. Not sure if that helps, but it seems to for me!
