need help getting rid of troublesome mod >.>

Hello, I've installed the realistic water mod which I'm pretty sure is in the list of most popular mods because it's given me some problems... There's green sparkling on zones and buildings have no scenery at all.  Even after deleting the .dat file from my plugins folder I'm still getting the same problem.  Any advice on how to get rid of it?

no scenery? did you recently patch sc4? if so check you graphics settings

actually I did right before playing the game with the mod itself... I didnt think it would reset my graphics settings. I'll check that out and see if that's the problem, although I dont know if it would fix the little green flashing speckles... they're not a big a deal as other things because they're only noticable when you zoom in very close, but annoying nonetheless. I tried taking a screen cap but when I did it only captured one which isnt very noticable.

yes, the graphics setting were reset so I was able to get the graphics back to normal, but I'm still getting the annoying green flashes. Even after moving my plugins golder to my desktop didnt get rid of it... maybe the issue isnt realted to custom content? Here's a picture of the problem, I circled the flashes because they might be hard to see if you dont know what you're looking for.
