My city is now getting ready to change from low to mid density, but before giving them the chance to build appartament blocks I want to prepare an MTS starting with subways

this is how I planned it, 4 lines, 3 junctions

now I want your opinion, I think it's good, but I bet it could be better so please give me some advice.

Oh, yeah, by the way I got a question: i never understoodif the second stage large school (have simcity in italian so I'm not sure about the name), not the large elementary school but the other on let's say provides the same kind of education as the mid-school or as the mid-schoold + high-school

That's a pretty decent layout to start off with. I'd suggest getting some road-top mass transit stations from the STEX somewhere so you can place your stations directly on the streets.

it looks like a good layout but I would also set up some parking garages in the residential zones to increase usage.

I am not sure what you are asking about in your question. I only know of the elem school and the large elem school. there is a three stage school on the STEX that acts like an elem + high school, is that what you are refering to?

You might be refering to the college. It's continuing education for adults, similar to a university. Basically only associate degrees and certificates of training. Needed for high tech industry i think. as for the subway you might find the in game advisors telling you to tear it down if it is not used enough. To force sims to ride it you might bulldoze all road connections. Once they start using it, they will continue after rebuilding the roads. Maybe.

The one thing with your layout that I see is that it's not very direct whereas your avenues go right to the industrial zones where the jobs are. I don't think Sims will use it much as a result and will favour road traffic but I could be wrong. I don't have much experience with subways as the region that I have been working on for the past two years uses monorails.

Looks good, though I don't see why the green and purple lines should be seperate. You probably had a reason, though, and I'm slow to catch on.

Perhaps the school you're refering to is the large high school? It becomes available as soon as you reach a certain pop level, after you qualify for the large elementary school. It's the exact same thinga as the normal high school, and just has a larger capacity and radius.

Hope that helps. The city looks great!

It's just cause the purple is ment to bring sims to the industrial areas from residential, while the green is a industry<->industry lines, ment to allow to sims coming from the red and the purple line to reach any point of the industrial area 2.gif

Forget about the schools questions by the way, it's all clear to me now.
