    Howdy folks!

What in your opinion is better:

High Density urban cities - e.g. Tokyo, Hong Kong etc.

    or

Sparsley populated countryside villages - e.g. many English countryside villages like Combe Martin (very small village in Devon, England) or many other villages around the world in general

In my opinion i prefer the cities.

Mainly because there alive and you'll never be alone!

I'm more of a village type person. I lived in the suburbs of the Twin Cities in Minensota until I was 6, when my family moved out into the Minnesota countryside. Two miles away from a town of less than 500 people makes for a very peaceful setting. I currently live at a university in Fargo, North Dakota, a large town/small city type of setting. I still prefer the country.

Well, I've lived in suburbia and two small towns, one of which is getting swallowed up by suburbia.  And I went to a college in a fairly large city (550k population) for one year before I transferred (though I commuted).  So I've got experience with the various sizes.

I would have to say that I would strongly prefer the "rural village" option.  To be more precise, small town out in the middle of nowhere.  But not too small.  5,000-30,000 is ideal for me, though I'm okay with up to about 75,000 as long as it's properly planned (low density suburbia/exurbia).

I'm just not keen on high density and mass transit, which is what most urban cities are all about.  Kind of reflects how I play SC4, too.  Personally, I think that mass transit can cause more problems in some places than it solves.  But I have odd tastes in these sort of matters31.gif.
