I 'm not sure what's this Amount of trash converted to energy = 50000 is, either. I compared the stats with the in-game WTE plant, and they're all the same (except of the costs and the pollution levels, of course). When testing SimGoobers plant in the game, the stats that were displayed were similar to the ones the in-game WTE is showing. I plopped five of them in one of my city after bulldozing a couple of the ones by Maxis, and the city worked fine for several years (and the pollution levels dropped at least to the half, needless to say).

I always felt the displayed value in the UI behaves somewhat strange - one month, it is way over 400, and the next month it's barely 100. My only guess is that the game doesn't calculate the trash all buildings produce every month, but merely makes assumptions - when you examine the garbage disposal graph, it often shows some small peaks. As we all know, the game tends to littering when the garbage facilities are maxed out, so it may be possible that garbage is accumulated in the streets up to a certain threshold, and maybe the garbage trucks are picking up the trash only every two months or so.

I have a small question, pertaining to your RLS series.

Do you know where I can find the lot that the R$$$ mansion, the Charlotte grows on? I'd like to remove it, to block it from growing, but still allow the existing lots to grow. I've searched on the STEX for it, but it apparently doesn't exist. It's the same building that appears on the Bureau of Farm Management lot, if that helps.

I'm still tweaking the train stations, and just started a fourth. I think I got all the bugs out, and if so will start uploading in a day or two.  Kept finding minor bits in the models I didn't like, so re-rendered them a few times.. 3.gif

And the Crime Automata is in the BSC Essentials Files.

Hey, SimGoober, I'm a big fan of your work - that's why I'm requesting this. You're really good at real life buildings, and, as a native Miamian, I've always wanted to see some buildings from the Magic City in Sim City. So, if you would please consider BATing the Freedom Tower for me and all SC4 fans...

It's currently becoming dwarfed by the high rises being built all around it, not to mention the sky scrapers right down the street in downtown. In fact, construction is currently underway to build a condo that will literally wrap around the tower.

This building has a lot of significance in the Cuban-American community here in Miami. It was the headquarters for the processing of Cuban refugees during the 60's and some of the 70's. My grandfather actually went through this building - but that's another story. It was also the headquarters for the Miami Daily News before that.

If you do decide to pick this up, please PM me. I'd really appreciate for you even to consider it. Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry if I broke policy by posting this here...I knew there was a BAT request thread, but I didnt realize you had to post requests there...

I back up Elbarto. If it's a skyscraper from Simgoober, then it will look tremendous in my city. If you (simgoober) do build it, will you make it commercial or prop or both?

Yeah, the images don't show, but if you click on them, you get a large version, which is better anyway.

    Hi Simgoober!

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your deserved Trixie awards! I have got a lot of your BATs, and they really are top notch!
And now, if I am not mistaken, and this is the support thread, a little question about your BSC Waste to Energy Plant .
In readme it says that this plant will convert 50 000 trash/ month. 50 000 of what? Kilograms, Tons?
Because Maxis Waste to Energy plant converts about 450 tons pro month, and yours about 30, in my case. I don`t know why this happens, is this some kind of bug, I don`t know.
Can you make a version which would convert 1000 tons of trash at maximum funding?

    quote>
I am having the same reports/issues.  This would also explain why the Garbage goes WAY up when I bulldoze the Maxis plant and replace it with this one.

From my tests thus far in seeing this, it doesnt make much sense to plop down 10 of these plants to replace 1 Maxis one.

Let me know if you need more information.  1.gif

The Waste to Energy Plant has the exact same in game capacity as the Maxis one.  I just produces less pollution.  So if there is a problem with it, it must be a similatr problem as the Maxis one.  We are keeping an eye on it, but I haven't seen any trouble yet myself.

I hate to do rule enforcement, but let's keep in mind that all BAT requests, no matter what they are, belong in the BAT request thread. SimGoober will BAT any building he wants.5.gif

EDIT: Well, I guess I'm a tourist now...

@Indiana: As I posted above, it may take some time until the game recognizes the new plant. If you still think the new one is flawed, please try the following: Bulldoze your old Maxis WTE plants, then place the new ones by SimGoober and look what's happening. Exit your city (don't save) and open it again. Now bulldoze the old plants again, place some Maxis plants and let the city run for a few months. If the garbage graph behaves different this time, there might be something wrong with the new plant (but as I said, the garbage stats are exactly the same, so I don't see what could be wrong).

First things first, I love SG bats!

About the Modern Waste to Energy:
I think that that the Maxis original displays the amount of trash that has burned that month thus far.

But I've run into a problem. Since I installed the SG MW2E, querying my old W2E plants display:

    ----
    BSC AntiVirus
    Bogus Alert
    Unworthy Lot
BSC Certification has failed on this lot. It has been deemed unworthy, and will now be removed from your system. On your next startup this lot will not be available.

    Object: Something to dreadful
    Lot Name: 0x54889bc1, 0x67f43b12, 0x00007734
Action Taken: This file was automatiaclly deleted
    ----

What on earth is going on?! I removed the MW2E, and the problem went away, reinstalling it brought it back.

Hey SimGoober.   Below are some examples of what I was referring to regarding early 20th century architecture of grand hospitals and majestic hotels in a downtown setting.  Would you agree the depth of these types of buildings appear to be lacking in the Sims City community?   I can try to obtain more examples if you like.

    Thanks.
