As is often the case with these things, there might be some answers buried either in an FAQ or in another thread. However, I haven't found the answers off the top of my head, so either being directed to the appropriate thread(s) or given the answers would be fine. Anyhow:

    1) I've run into a bottlenecking problem with RHW and bridges. In plain English, I can't figure out how to get more than a two-lane bridge (RHW-4 gives two lanes in one direction). While splitting the bridge in two is not only cool but often realistic (there are a lot of places where a highway was built with two lanes and then a second bridge was added to bring it up to four, and I'm using RHW to generate a situation where two one-way streets merge into an expressway), I can't figure out how to get bridges at 6-8 lanes...and putting two bridges in each direction would generate, in technical terms, a mess.

    2) Is there some way to generate an Elevated Rail/Ground Rail connection?

    3) Following up on the above, is there some way to actually generate HSR-and-so-forth bridges? Not having this ability is forcing me to emulate the Pennsy RR tunnels in NY, and I'd rather have bridges than tunnels (personal preference as much as anything).

    4) Is there any way to put a toll both on an RHW highway? I ask this because splitting the highway into 10 lanes and then dropping a toll both on it would be akin to what exists in most places IRL.

    5) Is there any way to put the HSR/Elevated-style lines over a two (or more) tile wide road without having to resort to strictly using puzzle pieces for the whole thing?

    1) I've run into a bottlenecking problem with RHW and bridges. In plain English, I can't figure out how to get more than a two-lane bridge (RHW-4 gives two lanes in one direction). While splitting the bridge in two is not only cool but often realistic (there are a lot of places where a highway was built with two lanes and then a second bridge was added to bring it up to four, and I'm using RHW to generate a situation where two one-way streets merge into an expressway), I can't figure out how to get bridges at 6-8 lanes...and putting two bridges in each direction would generate, in technical terms, a mess.

Unfortunately, you can't. At present, the only RHW networks that have bridges available are the RHW-2, the RHW-4, and the DDRHW-4. None of the other networks currently have that functionality. There are some for the other networks (including the RHW-6S and 8S) that have been in development for awhile, but probably won't be released until NAM Version 31, as there's some major under-the-hood changes to the RHW underway.

    2) Is there some way to generate an Elevated Rail/Ground Rail connection?

By "Ground Rail", are you referring to Ground Light Rail (the NAM feature), or the game's default Rail network? If it's the former, there's a transition puzzle piece for it in the NAM. If it's the latter, those two systems aren't really intended to be linked up.

    3) Following up on the above, is there some way to actually generate HSR-and-so-forth bridges? Not having this ability is forcing me to emulate the Pennsy RR tunnels in NY, and I'd rather have bridges than tunnels (personal preference as much as anything).

There are HSR bridges around . . . I seem to recall the mod itself including one, and released more a couple years back (which will work with the current NAM and HSRP releases).

    4) Is there any way to put a toll both on an RHW highway? I ask this because splitting the highway into 10 lanes and then dropping a toll both on it would be akin to what exists in most places IRL.

The RHW itself doesn't include toll booths as toll booths are Lots rather than actual transit network items. There are a couple out there, but not for any RHW networks wider than the RHW-4 at present.

    5) Is there any way to put the HSR/Elevated-style lines over a two (or more) tile wide road without having to resort to strictly using puzzle pieces for the whole thing?

If you're referring to dragging it over a Network Widening Mod (NWM) network, then yes, both HSR and Elevated Light Rail should be able to drag over top, but orthogonal-over-orthogonal only (neither network can be diagonal for the draggable functionality to work). The same is generally the case for all other networks. HSR-over-RHW tends to be error-prone as well (mainly as the HSRP mod hasn't undergone substantial update in the last 4 years), though Elevated RHW-over-GHSR is generally more consistent (though again, no diagonal situations).

    Hope that helps!

    4) Is there any way to put a toll both on an RHW highway?

http://sc4devotion.c...php?topic=990.0 First post, under Optional/Recommended Addons, scroll down to Related Lots. Only RHW-2 and 4 at the moment.

There used to be another pack for every available width (except 8C) but it's no longer available.

Thanks for the answers. I understand about the rail systems not really being designed to interact; that's fair enough (though it certainly makes me wonder whether I should put effort into rebuilding my passenger ground system as either an El or something else; that said, a set of stations right next to one another made for a workable transfer station).

As to the HSR stuff, thanks a bunch; I'll take a look.

Finally, on the DDRHW-4...somehow, that bridge didn't come up (and at least a double-decker bridge would presumably double my available capacity). How do I get that set up to fire, may I ask?

It's a rail-based bridge, and rail (depending on your traffic simulator) is roughly double the capacity of RHW.

Since it acts like a one-way bridge in the sense that you have to get it in a certain direction for it to connect properly (despite being two-way), be careful and pay attention to the "preview" bridge.
