Show the largest cities you ever built

I am trying to build several mega cities, but now it seems the population is limited by the land area when I planned all the buildings in high density. The biggest population I built is so far 3 million. Can anybody show their biggest cities?

9 figures is possible if you export all your population and build absolutely no industry. 7 figures is pretty much the limit when specializing in clean business.

I have a city with a little over 14M in it. The game freezes when I try to take a pic, even in low graphic setting.

The largest I ever got to was just over 5million, using about 1/3rd of the map. Went back to playing SC4 and stopped playing XL2011.

Ugly/beautiful grids to minimise wasted space and lots of bus routes to help with traffic are good ideas as well.

The largest population I ever had was over 800K in the city of Schellingen-Stadt, BUT:

- There is a river running through the city.

- There are some large parks, park fillers and a large gouvernmental complex

- The city was intentonally not all High Density. Most of the city is medium denisty or even low density.

- The city is not all grid, but has quite some diagonal roads.

- The city has quite some industry in it, yet this doesn't seem to affect the population growth that much...

- It even has some space-consuming infrastructure, like a some RHWs.

- It's part of an even larger city, build up from 10 large city tiles with a total population of 1.5 million residents.
