Hi everybody! I've been around the Simtropolis forums for a while now but I've never really contributed with anything.. untill now that is! so.... I present to you, city of Joburg! Joburg is loosely based on the real city of St. Petersburg, I use the map of the city and I've tried to use the real city as an inspiration but to do it in my own kind of way. The map I use is really huge and it will probably take me a while to complete it, but I felt like this was the right time to start, so here we go! By the way, I would like to thank these people/groups for their amazing work: Prepo, Ferox, Odd from sweden, Haarlemmergold, Suplado, Porkie.

great start to this cj.. interesting map with a lot of possibilities for your city to expand on. Would like to see something else than the usual maxis buildings though, however you use them very well! Good luck with you cj.

I am Swedish so it concerns me a bit.. just wanted to know what you think about it since I might be the wrong man to say if it was right or wrong. Background is, he got penalized for something that he felt he didn't do. As a result of the lost point he lost his chance to go the match for gold. I don't know enough of the rules to say if the ruling was warranted or not.. so, what do you say?

Interesting region you have, would like to see some more trees there though! Looking forward to see what Nova Betnava centre looks like, guess that some in-game pictures is the only thing missing right now. Good luck!

yes indeed, very nice done! I like your residential areas and suburbs.. looks very detailed and realistic. You also use some none-maxis buildings there which gives it a good mix, try to do that more! Like in your industrial areas or commercial.. would make it look super!

can see that you still are going strong with the parks.. great work and good pictures as before! I've noticed you seem to like tall buildings, think you use maxis very well.. try get some variety though, that would make it even more interesting! Stex is full of some goodies for your cj! Looking forward to next update!

aking88, how do you mean? Do you plop every single tree? Use god mode if you want to get more trees, it might not be exactly how you want it but at least you'll get a forest.. think of the environment god damn it!! as jacqulina have said the last five times, great regions everyone! like a robot.. hehe Benedict, your region is very detailed and I liked how it wasn't just one big city but instead different parts of towns growing together.. that is more realistic I believe! So, keep it up people!

hmm, this is not an easy subject to discuss and there have probably been bad things done by both georgian and russian military.. that's what happens in a war. It is impossible to tell who is right or wrong. Whatever really, al I hope for now is that this will end in a good way.. I like to watch my olympics in peace!!!

region map is very nice.. good mix of highs and lows, will be interesting to see you populate it. If I could I would buy a villa in the bay while it's still free. Skyline looked good to! Good luck with your cj

man you are the king of roads I dunno how you do it and where you get all your stuff but anyways, you do it good.. guess you like roads huh

very good update! you are good at using maxis buildings, perhaps you could get some more custom content though to get a mix.. would make your cj even more better! my fav is your maps, very good and you describe every part of the region in a very interesting way, good luck!!

Interesting regionmap, I liked those high mountains.. perhaps I might get a good view over kellog valley if I climb one of them Also great use of pegasus stuff.. waterfall is soooo nice! Good luck with this cj and make sure to post soon again!

oh, you are a busy one! Nice updates.. old town was awesome and it's always nice with an early overview pictures to understand how the city works and looks. Regional pic next time?

sometimes I think it is even more impressive to be able to take the pictures then doing the actual citybuilding.. hehe.. It's hard getting it perfect, some people here do it better than others. My fav so far is the on with the french district, super!

looks like franklin county is booming! good think I can update myself on whats going on by reading your newspaper I also liked your highways, some more transportation network pics would be interesting to see.. great job!

you have a original way of building your city, the roads are hmm.. I dunno if I like it or not at least not by looking at the region map. But from what I can see on the zoomed in pictures your city looks great, very north-american and I wouldn't mind playing some golf in your city
