Vodka! vituuu: thank you, glad that you liked it! smarty218: hey smarty, great to see you post here once more.. glad you liked the diagonals! edmonton_stinks: thank you very much, I think I've said it before but I'll say it again. W2W is my passion ky72x: I think I'll try to post some more pictures with underground parking and plaza fillers, hm... would you like it? Supersized thank you.. ajay_law: in these pictures I really tried to be "extreme" in my work with the diagonals.. hehe, wouldn't wanna drive there, but it sure looks O.K. s_olah: Hey, I will post some zoomed out images.. I like everything to be perfect though, so I will put you on a hold because I'm only halfway there But later for sure!! __________________________________________________ I have loads of material to post but less time to do it, so I will take an early summer break and probably post more further on. Thanks for being a part of this CJ so far, hope to see you all here later on!

I dig you seemurray2.. mostly because of your great cj but also for your awesome comments! -
bokrif: Glad you like it! At first I was going to do something with my shorelines, but I realized that it just would be too much work because of my citys size and the map would also have to look diferent.. but I agree, it probably would look better! edmonton_stinks: Thank you very much! I appreciate that.. w2w is very important for my city, at least these parts! ky72x: Yeah, you should have told me that earlier though! Will extend the avenue in the game.. picture will remain though hehe.. underground parking rules by the way lol jglei701: Simtastico says, thank you! Mike the Mayor: Hey again Mike, simtastico - fantastico! My new slogan I believe that the straight versions are included in the packs released by prepo, at least they are in mine! Try plop em and pm me if it doesn't work.. nihonkaranws: arigatoo! joburg-jin desu ka thank you for stopping by my cj once more..

smarty218: thanks man! I've tried to work on the euro-feeling, glad you liked it! lucky7: wall-2-walls rule I believe it is the most realistic way to build my cities, so I try to use em as often as I can s_olah: Thank you very much, yeah there are some larger paved areas in those pictures.. maybe to big, but think it works petriknl: I think it is dense enough for my taste, at least for this area of my city. But I understad what you mean.. bbfan02: Thanks once more bbfan02, sorry I couldnt find the buildings you requested last time.. but glad you came back to my cj anyway! shane453: Yes, wall-2-wall is my fav.. however many of my buildings are plopped and that helps, but yes it takes a while! Amerikaner: Hey .. thanks for your feedback, I love porkies work, haven't noticed the plazas though, perhaps you could provide me with a link? NMUSpidey: Shop till I drop! and yeah, If you ever come visit me in Joburg I will make sure to buy you a beer lol Smarty218: Hi again smarty, thank you for visiting my cj.. I appreciate it! I have to use diagonals because of the terrain, but that's ok.. I love em! Glad you like it too! Twenty20: Cool that you like it, I've had some problems finding the right kinds of buildings for my city but I try to mix what I feel fits.. dfnva: Well, Vodka and caviar is one of the trendiest and timeless combinations.. at Bieska you can get as much as you please! People the world over come here to try it..

Moving on.. In Joburg you will find posh boutiques and luxurious designer fashion around the Mayakovskaya area and its byroads. There you can stroll perfectly right from one display window to the next one. Stylish cafés are inviting to take a relaxing break. The biggest department store in the area named after it's owner - Bieska - offers a variety of international designer labels. Furthermore there is anything one could possibly long for, just like cosmetics and jewelry at the ground floor or fashion for men and women, books, a huge assortment of music, dishes, furniture or kitchen supplies. The legendary delicacies department at the third floor is an absolutely must.. In the next update I will show you the city hall of Joburg, for now.. you can catch a glimpse of it's main tower in the left corner (last picture). _______________________________ End of update. Hope you liked it!

Glad I could help out.. I will msg you info about the circled buildings.. Credit goes to Krio I think! s_olah: Yes, I love that one too.. corner buildings in general, hehe.. I love em all! bobinator: Thanks, then my work has payed off.. phew... lol estepaflip: Hey welcome to my cj! Glad that you find your way over here.. hope to see ya around Thanks for your comment.. projectadam: Mm.. sometimes the planning of the city is the most important one, and I've tried not to rush things.. happy to hear you liked it!! Hope to see you here again ky72x: hi again kyle, the map will be usefull for me I think. Then I can explain what it is I am doing and the width of it, my map is really huge! Really sucks that i didn't have the nightlights, would have looked so much better in the night pics.. tried to edit them in PS but didn't look too good Anyways, they are OK I think hehe edmonton_stinks: In Joburg this is definitely recognized as a historical district.. Not the typical "commie"/russian type of cj so far, but I'll get to that soon as well Hope UNESCO has room for joburg The Big Z: Thank you, I've really tried to get interesting and different buildings.. or at least to mix them in a new way, think the outcome is cool.. glad that you like it!!

So far I've shown the cathedral and parts of the old city called Chernyshevkaya, which also are shown on the map with a number 1. I will now move on to number 2 and the area of Mayakovskaya, which in Joburg is another famous tourist area. Here lies some of the best shopping in town and also the best hotels. But first of all, Mayakovskaya is a great place to walk: hectic busy streets neighbour tranquil lanes and housing with traditional architecture. There are also many very nice cafes, restaurants, clubs, and shops, you might also notice the convention center binding the two areas together which makes it natural for tourists to visit.. _______________________________End of update. Hope you liked it!
