AS Foreign Consulate Type : Museum (yes, you read that right…) Size : 2x2 Wealth : High Power: 10 Water : 10 Flammability : 30 Fire Stage : 3 Jobs: 50 ($) / 25 ($$) / 2 ($$$) Bulldoze : 100 Plop : 1000 Cost : 100 Pollution : 2/5/10 Student Cap. : 300 Notes: This small, generic foreign consulate is perfect in any Simnation. But, why is it in the Education menu? Because this lot provides tourists with a slice of home and actively promotes tourism to its parent nation (and hence knowledge about the larger Sim world). Ancientsocietys BAT thread
ancientsociety replied to ancientsociety's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
The Cinerama Theater that I posted earlier is also finished and, since I'm still working on a lot of the other Googie lots for the Googie Generic Set- I'd like to know if what everyone thinks - should I upload it separately or include it with the GGS? -
Ancientsocietys BAT thread
ancientsociety replied to ancientsociety's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Sorry to everyone who reads this but my wife and I just found out she's pregnant so there isn't a lot of free time to update. I'll try to keep up over the next few months but, rest assured, that I have been doing A LOT of BATting with what little time I get. Here are some upcoming projects: https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//pp1.jpg align=baseline> Here's a retro-style (sort of 1950s space age feel) geothermal plant that I'm very close to being done with. Personally, this is one of my favorite BATs. It's my first rather large BAT and has been quite challenging in designing and making sure everything looks right. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//compac1.jpg align=baseline>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//scyo.jpg align=baseline> These two BATs (the first is a trash compactor and the second is a small office) are for a city scrap yard I'm building. The BATs are currently finished and all I have to do is assemble the lot in LE. I got the idea from a materials recycling plant I visited last month. My idea is to make it like a recycling plant only it can handle a lot more garbage. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//vd1.jpg align=baseline>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//vd2.jpg align=baseline> These interesting BATs are Valentine Diners (the first one is based of a reproduction that sits in front of the OK Route 66 Museum). Valentine made pre-fabricated diners in Kansas from about 1940 to 1975. they are extremely interesting and, if you want to know more, just google Valentine Diner - there is a lot of info out there. Included in the readme for these lots, will be a collection of old production photos I found and a few pictures I took of 2 separate Valentine Diners from my Route 66 roadtrip (which, interestingly enough, included seeing a ruined diner in the ghost town of Glenrio, TX) There's also a pre-fab U Wash M car wash BAT that I've finished. Hopefully, all of these will be released before the week is out. -
