    I know that it's been a long time, but: If you have 2 independent power grids, then the program will try one the first month and then the second the next month. I some time power something that I've put up in an out of the way place with one or two windmills. That counts as an independent power grid. But the windmills probably won't be able to hold up your side of the power deal.
