Thank you both! I already tried your suggestions but the 'user' folder is just not present. The 'home' folder, visible in my screenshot, also seems to be empty (according to this dialogue). I seems its not really possible for me/mac users to install new maps since the other option, working with the map installer, is also not available to us :/

Hey everyone, Been back playing Simcity4 after a long hiatus and now on a mac. I cannot seem to make the Shift-alt-ctrl-R combination work in order to make my downloaded region load. When I use the keys the small blue window appears but it does not give me the option to search my documents. The upper white box does not let my type in it. Nor can I navigate to it through the folders since the only folder options it gives me to start from are some system folders (see attached image). In short: I cannot find my region folder! Somebody has a solution to this? Thanks in advance.
