Thank you so much for the help and the great information, I will give the commands a try. The weird thing is that I've tried some of those commands before like -r2560x1440x32 and nothing happened. What I find strange is the Launch Options interface doesn't seem to do anything when I type them in, like no verification that it took the command that I can see, even when I press enter after typing it. I will give it another try again when I get back home to my pc. I'm away from home for another day or two but at least I can play Theo Town on my phone I should have been more clear, it's the launcher giving me an error message when I try to run the game from it. The code was like some four or five digit numerical code but I don't recall it exactly.

Hi, I just purchased SC4 on Steam and I've been trying some methods I found to get SC4 to run at 2650x1440 resolution but I can't get it to work. First thing I tried was the dxwrapper method and using a launcher with instructions I found here: How to run SimCity 4 Natively above 1920x1080 in Hardware Mode!!! - SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues - Simtropolis but all I get an error message when I try to run it with the SC4 Laucher. These are the instructions I followed: IMPORTANT DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP: Make sure your game is patched with the NTCore 4GB patch! Download the latest release of dxWrapper from this link: https://github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/releases Open the .zip in 7zip or WinRar and separately navigate to your SimCity 4 Deluxe/Apps folder. Extract the following files from the .zip: dxwrapper.dll, dxwrapper.ini, Stub/ddraw.dll and copy them into your Apps folder (next to your SimCity 4.exe file).
