Hey guys, I havent played SC4 lately and today I decided to start a new region from scratch. I downloaded a map rendered it, and started treeing it when I noticed I forgot to name it. It just says New Region at the bottom. If my memory serves me correctly this is a quick fix by renaming the folder it is in. So I went to my docs and all and renamed it. Well I go back into the game it still says New Region I have the folder named St. John and yet it wont work. Did I do something wrong? Frankly I cant remember!

Ah Ha! Genious! Thanks a lot! completely forgot about that!

I would have to say the best commuter rail I've seen is BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Click for larger map --> http://ts.sjsu.edu/Commute_Tips/bartsystem.gif The system goes all around the bay area and they actually have a tunnel going under the bay itself to connect San Francisco to East bay. I was going through Oakland the other day and I thought it looked so cool with the raised tracks over the rugged industrial landscape and see the sleak BART train glide right over it.

Which building and type of architecture do you like the less
CitySeeker replied to Woko's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I dont have a least favorite style. I base my likes and dislikes on the buildings themselves. Each style has their own good buildings and their own not so good ones. I think that makes sense. -

I'm glad they didnt tear it down! Its a beautiful building! Great job on incorporating it into the city. The area looks great. -
Cool concept on organizing the best CJ's out there. Although I come to think your system is flawed when you dont have the San Fran CJ in there. IMO Great idea though. Maybe the CJ I'm planning will make it in there someday. (Of course that depends if it doesnt flop. )

Los Gatos California. A very little known city. It is situtated in the South Bay Area at the base of the Santa Cruz mountains. It borders San Jose and has only a population of about 28,000. I have many relatives that live in the area and I visit there all the time. The city itself is beautiful. For starters the mountains give a great back drop for the city. The Architecture in downtown itself are mostly buildings from the early 1900's or buildings that were re-built to look like that style after the devastating 1989 earthquake. Not many people know it but the earthquake actually happened right above los Gatos in the mountains. San Francisco got all the attention for the damage it did but parts of Los Gatos was destroyed. The actual buildings are beautiful a lot of detail of an early century look. Many of the homes in the downtown area are old victorian type homes or large homes over 100 years old. Although some of course were destroyed in the earthquake. May I also add that Atari, Apple Computer, and The Pet Rock were all invented here. Well anyways I wish I had some pics of it but for some reason the pics I took of downtown last year were somehow deleted from my camera shortly after taking them. Yeah so Los Gatos Rules in my book.

Well here is a pic of the closest large city to me. Sacramento CA, I live about 30 miles northeast of there in Rocklin CA... Yup.. Not much to see here. -
You render the actual picture (map) of the terrain you will use. So basically replace the config file originally there with the one you downloaded. Then put the image in the folder to. press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + r in the region and choose the image file to render... All the config does is change the order and size of your cities. Does that help?

A click and a boom, this city rocks! Love every thing you have done to it. But just one little suggestion... Make sure you dont have an ordinance that pays each homeless person over 500 dollars monthly. -
What Stadium Shall I Do Next
CitySeeker replied to Franz Ferdinand's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Arrowhead Stadium! This stadium opened on Aug. 12, 1972 to provide new housing of the Kansas City Cheifs. This large stadium holds up to 79,101 fans. The stadium was built to last as here over 3 decades later it is still in great condition and over the years kept its retro style of details such as the oval shaped scoreboards. (Which of course go nicely with the stadiums contours. May I also add that the stadium has sold out every home game of theirs since 1992! I would love to have this place built! It has such a great retro look and holds my favorite football team. Thanks CitySeeker -
I'm sorry mayor Tim but I couldnt resists downloading add ons to the game so I downloaded the NAM mod and a few buildings. I am also tryign to learn the B.A.T. editor to contribute to the site but I doubt I will ever have the patience to completely learn the darned thing. The tutorials are helpful though. CitySeeker

Hey guys, Just wanted to give you a heads up that I changed my name to CitySeeker. I wanted more of a Sim City theme type name for the boards. The site still rocks by the way! CitySeeker
