it's always hard to introduce ourselves but let me try not to fail at this exercise
I'm 35 (gosh already...) and I play PC sim games as far as remember. I tried a lot of them from ancient time (Railroad tycoon, SimCity, Populous, The Settlers, ...). I've never stopped playing them for a long and it is always an oasis of relaxing time in our fast-as-lightning nowaday lives. I would not say I'm dedicated to them but I love them enough to turn my career as a game developper in order to create one (sounds crazy isn't it ?).
Simulation games and especially city builders are good ways for me to train my creative imagination and try to optimize a situation under constraints. Building, destroying, building again, destroying again, rebuilding again is never boring I think. Realistic graphics doesn't matter to me, the content and the algorythms are the keys for a good sim and therefor a fun time. My best choice if I could bring only one to a desert island ? Definitely SC3000.
I was looking for an active city building community and to be honest in french (nobody's perfect) to discuss, listen and learn from urban plannign expert / experienced city builder elders. 'cause I want to increase my city sim knowledge. But I did not match with the one I found. So I switched my brain in english and...
It seems I'll find some good sutff and stories, passionate and kind people here. If you read until that step, you're certainly part of the last category !
