  1. The update broke my cities :(

Launch w/disablemods option then disable all of your mods and launch with only those in the image above. Then work your way from there, look at warnings, examine output_log.txt etc. etc. I run about 30-40 mods and they all appear to be functioning. I can't imagine why I would ever need over 100 active mods, so I would instantly start by cutting down on rarely supported mods and accumulated garbage. I have about 3000-3200 assets always, but I try to run with essential mods only to preserve my savegame's functionality. Also, refer to this list of functional mods:

I resolved the mods not showing by identifying a mod that was crashing the mod page in the Content Manager (AmbientSoundsMod) My game loads with an unknown error into the menu screen, but I am able to load a game, and see all of my mods. I have the majority of essential mods running now, its near impossible to take a screenshot from the Content Manager, so I included a screenshot of active and functional mods below:

Use the Steam launch options to resolve that. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=466981085 Start with disabling the Steam workshop, see if it loads, then use the disable mods option. I've successfully loaded a blank map that appeared to function. But obviously all of my pre-existing cities (hundreds of gameplay hours, and custom detailing) are absolutely destroyed by these developers forcing another bad DLC to us, and adding nonsense features to the base game, like radio... Among many other tweaks that we have worked hard to resolve (like the loading system), and that glorious 'Don't Crash' mod.

Still no resolution over here. I'm sick of trying basic mods (that give no errors) only to wait for 30mins to find that the game still doesn't function properly. All my cities load with massive problems, missing roads etc. - I guess this is what the Natural Disaster DLC brings us. After watching gameplay of this DLC, I see that it is just a another cheap add-on, like Snowfall. I can't watch Arrowhead Junction videos (which are pre-recorded 3-5weeks in advance), it's way too depressing.

Update: Network Extensions Project has just been patched. Sadly the Loading Screen Mod (kind of necessary when you have 3000 assets, and 25min load times) among others are still not patched. I get this currently, but it's hard to nail down: A Mod caused an error [ModException] Details: System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: The classes in the module cannot be loaded. at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.Assembly:GetTypes (bool) at System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExportedTypes () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at ColossalFramework.Plugins.PluginManager+PluginInfo.GetInstances[IUserMod] () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at EntryData.GenerateData () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

Same problem here. I run 50+ mods and only see 3 of them now, and a nice error message with no information about the fault. Paradox - we love this game, but please understand that we are getting very tired of this. The entire Youtube broadcasting community (Flux, Strict, Fresh etc.) will be at a stand-still while we try to fix what you broke. Please keep in mind that the vanilla game to us is no longer sufficient. i.e. We will not play the game without the Network Extensions Mod at the very least. EDIT: Many mods are broken, but namely the Network extensions mod is broken. I was able to bring up all my mods by killing the Ambient Sounds Tuner mod, which was throwing a fault and causing the list to not display (for me): A Mod caused an error [System.Exception] Details: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at NetworkExtensions.Mod.OnSettingsUI (UIHelperBase helper) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at (wrapper managed-to-native) System.Reflection.MonoMethod:InternalInvoke (object, object[],System.Exception Don't bother playing the game for a while folks
