Wonderful City and presentation! I love your rail system and the street signs in your journal are really cool! All great and inspiring images! M.A.E. life is like a box of cookies and they're free on the internet.

Thank you MrCinatat, for the clarification! You are unsinkable!

Tropod: THe other games above are on my old Hard drive and it is dead. THe jerk is a start and freeze thing and now my region pop. is, 179,000 and the jerky run and stop is extremely slower now. I mean extreme too. Up to 31 seconds if I plop a strip of ave, while game speed is on slow. My cars start and stop about every 5 or so seconds, while not doing anything, but watching the game(NAM for sure) I just started a new HDD 80gig Master. Only thing installed is: winXP SP2/SimCity4/PhotoShop/All MODS by SimGoober and Pegusus(no other ones)/BAT/Gmax/Lot Editor/NAM I have absolutely nothing else on my computer. Only plug-in that modifies the internals IS the NAM. All above was installed before the NAM and I had supra fast play experience. I DL'ed the NAM and it started. CPU is heating up like bakery oven at 62celsius. Before the NAM; much much lower.

I agree! this is a very wonderful story along with your journal! Great images too! MORE....MORE!

Okay; I am running the NAM first ever and no other mods that correlate. Region POp. 97,000. I see no problems yet, save one: Once I have a major city growing, my CPU slows to 400% 5 second delay has come up at 20 to 23 second delays now. also the slight jerk is more than slight; it is downright game killer. I cannot do things properly(frustrating mistakes are unavoidable) and no longer have enough time in a real day, to get anything accomplished in my city. I run a Dell P4 2.26ghz./1000mb DDram/256mb Nvidia Graphics and the NAM is the first thing that has slowed me down! DungeonSiege, Doom, Rise of Nations etc, run flawlessly. SC4 used to also, but no longer. Maybe I am jumping to a conclusion though? My video card has some fairly elaborate custom settings(smartcard) Is there a setup that works best for the NAM? I can set almost anything up and save it as, SC4custom boot.

Truely, this is an art form! Great terrain work! I am also very humbled now. You have to really like your math to be doing such a fantastic replica! I hope you keep it coming. This is joy to view and inspiring!

OH yeah! This is really cool looking and very realistic. Nice presentation with your journal as well!

I just posted four images, I think. each was under 200k and no larger than 800x550. I was worried that was entirely too many. Then I see above some people may be posting up to 30? Ouch! Was 4 images acceptable, in one post?

I cheat so much, I never noticed this? oh my my.

If you are like me and math is fun to you; try my concept at this thread: SC4 forum/City Building Concepts/Mathmatical Concept V1 It isn't completed, but it does show you a visual idea, I think. Yeah, buses are my favorite and least expensive mass transit. Actually, I always turn a profit with buses. Make sure to put bus stations in neighboring cities also. Your citizens will be, more apt to pay a fare, for traveling to more polluted, less important, neighboring cities.(hint)

YEs, I agree; this forum is for SimCity4. I guess I had to show off a bit. No more, I promise, but.... Per my wish: to have a wider selection of views in my City; a first person walkthrough perspective. Wouldn't it be cool to revolve 360 degree camera around your skyscraper, while looking UP at it's mile highness? when I build a model in Bryce I can do this. Bryce is similar to GMax, but easier to learn. Bryce is the least difficult to interface with and the cheapest of all my software; only$115.00 for Bryce5.5 from DAZ Studios. If YOu are curious and want to see really cool residentials, that I wish I could convert to Simcity file? go to this site and look at architecture gallery http://www.geocities.com/funkid8877

No that is not a real city. It takes bigtime money, to purchase the correct program, to make the city image above. That is a pan down camera view from the air, using Bryce5.5 game developing software and an all original piece of graphic art created and rendered by myself.I really did pan my camera; my software has eight diff. cameras. I have the same setup as Pixars animation deptartment. $8,000.00 of graphic design softwares on a Dell workstation. I couldn't afford the $11,000.00 SGI Tezro (animation station)computer, so Dell will have do the trick. P.S. My avatar(green solar sails) is a bryce render and can be animated if I wish.

Well, since Simcity4 is limited to one ariel POV; I'll have to pan my camera down, decreasing the angle and I can get this pinensula, horizon view. What does everyone think?https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//featdterraun3.JPG width=800 align=baseline>

https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Enum22s.jpg width=800 align=baseline>This city is old news. I will be posting a city journal soon, with a mid city pop. of, 243,000
