I have recently tried to install Simcity 4 Deluxe edition on Windows 7 64bit. The installation went well and i tried to play it. It started well, however as i tried to create a new region the backspace worked however the letter keys didn't. =S I made sure all the drivers were up to date and also tried a different keyboard but nothing changed =S I also went and tried to start a new city but when i tried to enter the Mayor's Name and the City Name the same thing happen. This is quite strange. I tried to play without changing the fields it ran well. I am in some need of help... -

Yes.. Once I start the game with default city name and mayor name... all short cuts keys works properly... -

I am having laptop..Keyboard language is English... keyboard issue is only for this application... I have applied all patches..EP1 and night lights... now game version is 1.1.640.0 To start new city...I am writing city name and mayor name on notepad and coping it while creating new city...it works... but I can not type it through keyboard... -

I have installed from CD.. It is not working.. I applied patches using instruction given in below link. Still same problem exist.
