I am pretty sure that giant redwood with the road going through it has since fallen down.

I work in a lab. Several years ago as a joke, one guy made up a fake Molotov*****tail bomb, for one of the other lab guys to find. Unfortunatly the custodian found it first and called the police. Somehow nobody got fired or arrested. The police came and were questioning everyone. Very stupid. EDIT: I just dug up the little blip about it in the newspaper crime section in my scrapbook. He did this in the spring of 2003, when 9-11 was still on most everyones mind. I also remember now that he was only one month away from getting his phd when he pulled this stupid prank.

A grilled cheese sandwich made with mozzarella, yum! Pizza is my favorite though. At my house we have had pizza every Friday night for 30 years.

I don't drink pop anymore. Used to be addicted to Pepsi, but I gave that up and now pop is too fizzy and sugary to me.

I just had a Goober sandwich (peanut butter and jelly), and Fritos.

Its Christmas Time - What are you getting
marryescher replied to Cleaner475's topic in General Off-Topic
Im getting a washer and dryer. Not very exciting, but I am moving in January, and can't stand the thought of sitting in a laundrymat all the time. -
Here in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the weather can change a lot from day to day. You could be in shorts one day, and wearing a winter coat the next. The Fall: The temp. changes the most. It can get pretty hot late in the fall. It even snowed on Sept. 1st last year I think it was. Generally it is the most comfortable temps. Winter: Very, very cloudy. The wind blows across Lake Michigan, and makes lake effect clouds. When somebody visits from another state, they usually comment on how cloudy and depressing it is every day. There are also Alberta Clippers, dumping lots of snow every 2-3 days, and lake effect snow until Lake Michigan cools down enough, then not so much of that. Spring: Usually rainy. Another season that the temp can change a lot. Summer: The 1st half of summer is nice, with warm temps and occational rain, but around mid July or August, usually it stops raining for weeks, it gets very hot, and the grass turns into straw.

What movies have you seen recently?
marryescher replied to LarksTonguesInAspic's topic in General Off-Topic
The last movie I have been to see was the Titanic. Its been a while. -
Just got our first snow of the season last night, here in Southern Michigan. It melted when it hit the ground though. I have already been using the ice scraper for a few weeks though, and I've been wearing my winter coat and gloves since late September in the mornings. Not every morning though. It was kind of embarrassing when I leave work, when most people are coming in to work, and I'm bundled up in my winter gear, when everyone else is not even wearing a jacket, or wearing a light jacket. Im always frozen. Especially in my bedroom where it is around 60(F) in winter. The furnace is at the opposite end of the house, on another floor. 60 degrees outside is warm, but not in the house.

My favorite is the Chevy Chevette. This Chevette belongs to somebody else, but I wish I had one in black. Also love the VW Rabbit and Golf.

I was at the App State/Mich game, and my friend and I were having so much fun watching the App State cheerleader trying to run up and down the end zone with a flag as big as a house by himself, we weren't even that upset Mich lost. The flag kept wrapping around his face, and he couldn't see and trip. The flag wrapped around the event staff guys heads a couple times. He tripped and fell once. That whole end of the field would all start laughing at him. He didnt seem to notice or care that everyone was laughing at least.

A lot of people kept telling me how great The Secret is, and I finally bought the DVD. I thought it was very good, but I already knew everything on it from reading a lot of books by Sylvia Browne. She talks about the same things, although The Secret was very well put together. Sylvia talks about the same things, but scattered over many books. I think its worth getting The Secret.

Ewwww...I can't imagine washing my hair only once a month. After 2 days, I can't take it any longer.

I'm a lab assistant for 11 different labs in a university (actually, I think my official job title is research assistant now). My main job is to wash all the glassware, but I also sterilize everything, help with experiments, go to the library, order supplies, defrost freezers, fill jillions of pipete tip boxes, check the labs for radiation spills, get incoming packages and bring to the labs, and many other things. I work 6 days a week trying to keep up with everything, and I rarely get to sit down. Been doing this for almost 17 years now. Im getting too old for all this running around.

I used to drink only Coke, many years ago. Then when that comercial came out, where they did the Pepsi challenge, drink both blindfolded, my friend and I were bored and did that. When I drank the Pepsi I thought it tasted really good, and I didn't like the Coke anymore. Never drank Coke again after that. Went from loving Coke to hating it, in seconds. I got addicted to Pepsi, and was drinking 6 or more cans a day at times, for 15 years, then finally had to give up drinking Pepsi. My hair stopped growing and was falling out, my digestive system was in ruins, and my kidneys didn't work properly anymore, and I was hypoglycemic. Now pop seems like poison to me, and it feels so good not to be addicted to caffine and sugar.

I have several US $2 bills. The couple times I tried to use them, the cashier wouldn't take them, saying that they are special, and I should hang on to it instead.

I meant to say Cadillac Ranch, not Car Henge. I thought the one in Texas was called Car Henge. This one: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/attract/TXAMAcadillac.html
