Haven't got any progress on the older passenger cars to show, but here is a little something new on the way: A lot of reuse of the textures from the passenger engines, but with a little change here and there, colors amongst other things. You will be able to use these with the trains from the other freight engine package.

Some nice work you are doing. A lot of problems can be solved by merging troublesome files into a new fresh model/file.
  3. TimmyC's BAT projects

Looks like you have a small texture problem on the back roof with the sloping being perpendicular on the other. Add a separate UVW-map to just that roof surface. In the modifier stack click on the UV-map. Rotate 90 degrees around the Z-axis. In general, when I bat, I make each wall and each roof surface into separate object, which make you have more control of the UVW-Mapping.

Here is a little something new or should I say older: "Proof of concept" Thank you. No idea why you had to disable it just for one of the packages. Same software and more or less same structure to the scripts.

Have now uploaded VDK Trains Mods, Volume 11. North American Passenger Cars to Lex:

  7. Chicago BAT Project

Amazing details. To bad, a lot of it is lost in the export. Still I do it myself. Make way to detailed models.

Thanks Jack. The installer for the passenger engine is almost done. Is in the process of being checked. In the meanwhile I am working on the cars: As the passenger trains called Zephyr (more than just California Zephyr. There were 14 other lines called Zephyr) and Chicago commuter rail, ran for great deal longer under the Burlington Route name than under Burlington Northern, I renamed the car mods from BN3 to CZ after California Zephyr. The Burlington Northern Railroad was a of a March 2, 1970 merger of between Great Northern Railway, Northern Pacific Railway, Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway and the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The interctiy traffic was taken over by Amtrak as of May of 1971. So a little over a year Burlington Northern had intercity passenger service. The Burlington Northern merged with Santa in 1996 into Burlington Northern Santa Fe. Now just known as BNSF Railways. BTW: The White Face color scheme (BN1 B) that I took out, appear a lot later, as late as 1989.

Thank you both. Glad you like them. Working on the documentation for the engines. Removed the BN1b engine to make room for this one: NJDOT.

Well spotted. It was the Western Pacific, but the nightlight is the more or less same on all the mods. There will not be as many different color schemes for the cars. Settle on 40 different.

Here is an overview of all the passenger engine mods:

Returning to Chicago again: Rock Islands commuter train from Chicago. Today the line "Rock Island District" is run by Metra.

Thank you both. Glad you like my work. Here is a little something, or should I say two things: An engine from Maine Central (MEC) and some cars from Pullman. Pullman had cars of their own, which was in trains with cars from the main railroad. Later on they would still run the cars with porters ect, but the railroads themself would own them.

Someone ask for some Texas Special, I mean MKT / Frisco Texas Special... Darknono35: You can find some by searching for BigRedFish / BRF, Trolca on STEX.

Sorry T. Don't have any pictures of the nightlight. Back to the Lake Erie. This time to railroad that went westward: Wabash Railroad.
  17. VDK Trains Inc.

From some New York trains (Erie, Erie Lackawanna, NYLE), we are going north to Maine: They are pulling some CP cars, but the different is not that big....
  18. VDK Trains Inc.

Did another Erie railroad, well just and engine that goes well with the Chesapeake and Ohio cars: NYLE: New York & Lake Erie. Its based on a black and yellow Erie Railroad color scheme: Used the same colors as on the C&O cars.

Staying in the "family": The predecessor, New York, Lake Erie & Western Railroad or just Erie Railroad.

Another train with connection to Chicago: Erie Lackawanna Railroad

Here is a "Chicago" engine, Metra: Haven't done any cars for the engine, but can easy be used the BN3 cars, as shown in the picture. These are modded so you can have just bi-level cars.

.... and now a commuter train: Chicago & North Western.

Staying in the Southern Pacific family (well in fact, it bought SP, but kept the SP name): ... and here another engine for the Denver, Rio Grande & Western:
