  1. "Error in getting registry information" means that you did not do the registry part right ... Follow every step here and it will work: I've never seen the "can only import binary registryfiles" error .. Maybe you should screenshot it ... I know how to repair "can only import binary registryfiles". You have to write REGEDIT4 in the .reg file. It have to looks like it: REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\SimCity] "Locale"="en_US" "Install Dir"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\SimCity\\"
