How can you guy do any modding or testing of this stuff without fear of getting your origin account terminated? I would like to help in any way, but I dont want to get my account deleted until I know there is a offline version of the game to DL... -
I decided to adjust my video settings last night. To make a long story short I increased most if not all the settings to high and when I returned to my game it was unplayable. The cars were not moving and I couldnt hardly click on anything... I know people are saying, "just change all the settings back to low." And I did. It seemed to help a little bit. BUT its still screwed up and now it looks like carp. Is there a reset to reset the settings to default? I thought Sim City 4 had this. Why doesn't Sim City 2013?

Can everyone see my Region name even if I'm in private mode with sandbox mode? Can anyone just pop in and look at my city?

Since that was easy to answer I have another... Is there a way to start an individual city over after you have messed it up? Say you have a nice region going and youre on your 4 city. Then you do something stupid and want to start over. With the AlwaysOnline DRM can I revert my game?

I was going to post a similar topic to this. Why cant Maxis/EA develop the next Sim City game to look like google earth? If google Earth can give so much more detail but on a planetary scale why cant Sim Chitty?

I have a question about Sim City 5? and Spore. I remember reading a year or 2 back that Will Wright was saying that the way they designed Spore or the code that they used was revolutionary and that it would be incorperated into any future Sim City games. That somehow the code from Spore would allow for much greater detail and not be as hard on your computer. Is this still the case? Especially with all the crashing going on whilst playing Spore. Will this allow maxis/Ea to make the next Sim City closer to Google earth? With photo realistic textures and buildings...

Hi, I know this isnt a SPORE forum. But my question is,,,is there one? I am running spore on my Mac Pro and have been playing it for a day or 2. Now all of a sudden Ive been getting... Exception raised unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000000c at address 0x004e7238. Do you wish to debug? Yes...No? No matter what I select it just closes the game and Im back at my desktop... If I could find a spore user forum Id ask there...

Yeah I have gotten that when I close the game too. The weird think is that I started a new game and it works just fine. Maybe its a bad save? But I cannot play that game/save anymore it just keeps locking up. And no I havent gotten back to that stage with my new game...

Hi... I have a couple of basic Mac/Sim City 4 questions... First off. I have been playing for years on my PC. But Ive made the switch to a MacPro and Im now wondering if Im gonna need to buy a new version for my Mac. I saw at the store yesterday they had on that said PC-version right on the box in big letters. So whats the deal with the versions?

I guess Im just wondering if it will work with a new macpro. I have read some things that OS 10.5 or whatever is the latest wont work with the game? What up?

OK. I have found that the PC version sells for $19.99. And that any online place that does sell the MAC version sells it for at least $45.00-$60.00 *****? I have also found out that maxis or EA doesnt make Sim City 4 RH for the MAC. They must hand it off to Aspyr to port the game or something. So i know I can get the game from Amazon or something. But I guess my question is...is there a place that I can go that Just specializes in Mac games only? Somewhere where I can just browse a big list and look or something? Thats what I am looking for. Otherwise a hint to the cheapest price for a Mac version of Sim City 4 RH...

Nope Hamish...Its a regular tower type Mac. NOT a laptop. I didnt even know they made a macpro laptop... I think Im gonna try what teg24601 says. Thats why I wanna even bother to try it anyways. To see if it will run like it should run on a mac...

Ok... I got a new MacPro. 3.2 (8X) processor... 2 gigs ram (to start with) 320 Hdd. It has i believe OS 10 or 10.5 on it. I dont know how to check that yet... I had a version of Sim City that i swear was a dual cd. for PC/Mac. That Got smashed one day. Then I go to best buy to get one and I saw Sim City for 19.99 and I thought that was such a good deal that I snapped it up. Its not till i open the shrink wrap that i see the PC only ***** on the box.

My one and only wish for SC5 is that it Not be such a resource hog and run properly on a large amount of computers. Maybe make it for the 360. You can still get online and get updates from modders. Please make it run correctly. -
I have some questions about rail and monorail. Mostly about proper placement and effectiveness. Such as do you have to have a turnaround loop for trains to turn around on for sims to use them? And can the freight station be placed in any orientation to the track or is there a proper way to place it to be useable. Same for the passenger train station. Basically is there a thread dealing with mass transit systems and how to get them to work the best?

Can someone make a map for me like this? Flat maybe 1-2 levels up from sea level. With 8 of the Largest city sizes. I would like it maybe a litle longer(stretched) than I have made it withonly a minimum of sea around it. That'd be great. -
Sorry if this has been posted before... I recently reformatted my computer. I installed Sim City 4 and the Rush hour expansion pack. And it seemed to work fine. But after running the game about 4-5 different times it will no longer even open up. If I click on the icon to start the game I get the Bridge screen and then it will go black like it does when its working but then after 1-2 seconds of the black screen it just shoots me right back to the desktop. No error message no nothin...Is this a know bug? I have had SC4 and the RH running before...

Well i narrowed it down even further. There are 2 drivers that you need inorder to get Pro Tools to play with your computer. 1 is called the AISO driver and another is the Wavedriver. Its 1 of those 2 that are conflicting with Sim City... -

OK... I figured it out. It is my Pro-tools software. I started uninstalling the plugins one by one that go with Pro-Tools, and that didnt do it. But then I uninstalled the actual program itself. And that did it. So I guess they wont play nice with each other...which sucks. Cause I would like both programs to be on my computer...If anyone knows a workaround Id like to hear it... -

I went a DL the latest Nvidia drivers from Nvidia. And it still wont work. I even installed Starfleet Command 3 and IT WORKS. I DO NOT understand it. I went on my moms computer and installed SC4 and it works. *****?! What really gets me is that it was working and then BAM it didnt work. And I even took the 2 folders off my moms computer and using Network magic transfered the folders to my computer to replace the ones on mine that didnt get installed right. It still wont work. I give up... But I appreciate you guys trying to help me out...
