sc3ku SimCity 3000 Unlimited Rendering Kit rendering problem?
RichNagel replied to RichNagel's topic in SimCity 3000
Thanks for the info, Catty-CB Although the problem mentioned in that thread looks similar, I think that the original poster was using SC3KU's BAP+. I have no problems with BAP+ (short of the long-standing rendering bugs that the utility has), my (new) problem is with the Rendering Kit. -
sc3ku SimCity 3000 Unlimited Rendering Kit rendering problem?
RichNagel replied to RichNagel's topic in SimCity 3000
P.S. Attached is a screenshot of the problem. The (landmark) building on the left is one that I rendered back in 2006, and the one on the right is the same building rendered just now (with the building's exact same BMP image that I used back in 2006). BTW, that one is a 3X3. The ONLY difference was running SC3URK under Windows 98SE back in 2006, and Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 just now. -
sc3ku SimCity 3000 Unlimited Rendering Kit rendering problem?
RichNagel posted a topic in SimCity 3000
Hiya folks, I hadn't played SimCity 3000 Unlimited in quite some time, so I figured that I'd give it a whirl again I was twiddling around with the SimCity 3000 Unlimited Rendering Kit (SC3URK), and ran across a strange problem when rendering imported BMP images to landmark buildings (or regular buildings) within the utility. After doing the above and then entering the game, the graphics are totally messed up for any of the buildings that I rendered in SC3URK (?). To save me some typing, here is a message thread over at the old and outdated SC3000.com message forums (complete with screenshots of the problem, posted several years ago by another user of those forums): http://www.weburg.com/forum/messages.php?threadID=3e17ab9b7f634a25847beeb71f929626&directoryID=20&startRow=1&openItemID=item.20,item.3,item.10,item.21 Anyone have any idea what could cause this problem, and any idea of a possible solution/fix? -
Looking for some lost and forgotten SimCity 2000 Cities

P.S. For anyone interested: A poster over at Wren Weburg's SimCity discussion forums ( http://www.weburg.com/forum/ ) managed to dig up Matt Kim's "Mattropolis" SimCity 2000 city file Here is a ZIP with the afore-mentioned city files that I've managed to track down, and it NOW includes "Mattropolis": Message thread: http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38806 The ZIP: http://www.vogons.org/download/file.php?id=14300 Hehe, now if I could only find "Harsh" and "Tari's Kingdom" -

Thanks for the info That one over at sc300.com I've already checked out quite a few years back, unfortunately it's not Matt Kim's Mattropolis. -
Looking for some lost and forgotten SimCity 2000 Cities

Hi folks, first post here in the forums I was redirected here from a poster over at VOGONS who suggested that I post this question here. Anyhow, eons ago, one of the first things that I bought for SimCity 2000 was the strategy book "SimCity 2000: Power, Politics, and Planning" (by Nick Dargahi, published by Prima Publishing). Mentioned in that book were six "spotlight" cities, and the book even had real pretty glossy full-color pics of the cities in the middle section of the book. The author of the book even had extensive interviews in the book of the city's creators Throughout the years I had made several attempts to find download links for the cities mentioned in the book. Three of them that I was able to dig up were: Calebopolis - by Caleb John Clark MaxiANC - by James Alton Rubigger - by James Moore (Jerry Moore) Three of the cities that I was never able to find ANYWHERE were: Harsh - by Ocean Quigley Mattropolis - by Matt Kim Tari's Kingdom - by Tari Kobylanski Quite a few years ago I even went as far as to email the author of the book (Nick Dargahi) asking him about these cities that he detailed in his book. He replied saying that he USED to have them on his hard drive quite a while before, but they were long-since gone Anyhow, I don't suppose that anyone here would have these cities, or know of a place to download them? I've extensively searched all around the Internet and the newsgroups for literally YEARS, but never have had ANY luck WHATSOEVER finding them (although, I've seen them mentioned here and there on occasion).
