  1. Hey all, NAM seems to suggest it's going to alter my boot.ini? Wont this potentially ruin my system? I'm using an XP computer, 2gb RAM with a Geforce FX 5200 graphics card, 2.08 ghz CPU. Would it be more prudent to use a earlier version of NAM? Thanks!
  2. What would I require to make a city like this? What terrain mods/trees/props/etc would you recommend? There's just far too much to go through right now, and I'm more than willing to take on someone else's setup as a beginner. I'm not going to bother with the British style town now, for as a purist I couldn't abide the idea of mixing and matching :-/ North American will do - post what you think I need

  5. Hi, I'm new here but already looked at but still need some help stifling through everything. Does anyone know of any must-have mods that will make SimCity 4 more 'British'? Are there any UK players who play with a personalized British set that could help? Thanks!
  6. Ah, so you think I need to install some more buildings for it to take effect? I love the look of the meadowshire textures! What tree pack would people recommend to accompany them?
  7. This Maxis Block mod just seems to stop zones from developing full stop, as I removed it for R$ and it started filling up. Is there someway I can have the British terraces as my standard R$ set override the Maxis ones and become my default?

  9. Problem. Added the block Maxis content mod, but allowed Industry (pretty much the same worldwide). Added https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=350 (all terraced housing sets) But they don't seem to be appearing in game???
  10. Ok I think I'm getting the hang of this, a lot of trial and error it seems. Any terrain/foliage mods anyone could recommend that give a good european/british flavour?

Ok regarding these mega-packs (so I don't do a ton of unnecessary downloading) I am asked for just one building to get the following Dependencies: BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01 CSX MEGA Props Vol06 PEG-MTP_RESOURCE-vol1 PEG_MTP_RESOURCE_vol2 PorkieProps_Vol1 BSC Textures Vol01 BSC Textures Vol02 I presume I have to search and download each of these individually? Does anyone have a recommended root structure that they employ when installing buildings/dependencies? Or do you just go with the standard install?
  12. I don't quite follow, is this a proceedure I need to setup when installing or when in game? Also, if I am running on a 32 bit system with 2gb ram, am I able to install everything?
  13. Will these dependencies conflict with one another? That is my only fear.

  15. Looks like I wont be able to download/use NAM in that case until Christmas it seems when I'll be getting a new computer. That's a shame.
  16. What is meant by CAM? What standard mods would people recommend to enhance the vegetation and general look of the game without making too many major alterations?

  19. Do earlier versions of NAM not require as much RAM?
  20. I have 2GB RAM. So best I not use NAM in that case?
  21. Ok still confused, I'm not the most computer snazzy type in the world. What is the liklihood of NAM destroying my computer? How does one bring back the boot.ini?
  22. Is there no set British pack that changes all the buildings to a more British flavour?
