Interesting thing started happening. I started a new region, built the first city over 1 million strong, everything was normal. Second city residential is stuck at 100,000, but commercial is over 250,000 and industy is very strong as well. Started a third city same thing. Strange thing is, in both the 2nd and 3rd city the residential demand only shows high wealth, the other two don't show up. I cannot grow any residential, but the commercial and industrial are strong. Anyone experience anything like this?

I installed Sim City 4 from origin and loaded various plugins. Everything was working fine for weeks until I had a windows update and Direct X was installed on 10/6/13. I was going to do a system restore after several uninstalls and re-installs failed to alleviate the problem. That is where I found to Windows critical install of Direct X. I can try and run the game from anywhere and all I get is an hourglass for a couple seconds it disapears and then nothing. Lenovo intel i5-3230M 2.6ghz 8GB 64,64 Any ideas how to get this to load?
