That is the thing that impresses me the most, and will probably lead to a lot of creativity and replayability. Sure, this isn't the new Sim City. Heck, the city feature is probably going to be weak compared to the beloved Sim City 4. The game offers a pretty cool sounding storybox though, and I'm interested in getting it just to mess around with. The Sims did bore me after a short while, but hopefully the variety of modes, greater ability for creativity and sandboxing, and the fact that you're not simply guiding litte virtual people will make this game pretty good. But then, what do I know, what with 1 post and all? (By the way, this site has a lot of the nicest SC4 addons / buildings out there. I should have gotten into the customizing earlier, but the game is pretty addicting as is.)
